Because this furniture will sit in a room that gets lots and lots of sun we wanted to make sure we bought quality furniture that will last. So much patio furniture is not made particularly well and falls apart in the elements. We have only had this furniture for two weeks so I cannot attest to its long-term durability but I can say that it is very solid and supportive. It is clearly a superior product to the average cheap patio furniture. So far we are completely satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jefficity Holds WAY Too Much Water!
This is how I got to a 2 rating.
1) 5 star for appearance
2) 1 star for cushions (I would give 0 if I could)
3) 3 for frame - does what it is supposed to do, feels solid
4) 1 for price, in consideration of the issues I've described below
Way too expensive for the poor design of the cushion. I have no problem with the fabric itself, or the cushion in side. It's the fact the fabric is able to absorb a TON of rain water, but does not seem to be able to release ANY of the water it initially absorbed. I've never seen anything like it. After a rainstorm, we have to tip the cushions on their sides for the water to release. And when we do, gallons of waters flood out of the cushion.
I am concerned over how this will impact the cushions over time. I'm fine with reducing the lifespan of my furniture by a few years due to not covering it regularly (what a hassle), but at this rate, the cushions will be ruined by the end of summer. This is my second set of high end patio furniture from Home Depot. The first set lasted 10 years, and the cushions were perfectly fine until the end. I never covered the furniture once, not even in winter, and live in Colorado. They were exposed to extreme heat, cold and sun. The wood deteriorated over time, which is why we ultimately had to get a new set, which we were totally fine with. I'm just worried we may have made a mistake with this set. Still thinking we may return it because in addition to the cushion issue, as of this week, the tabletop of the coffee table has started warping.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TH Excellent Quality
Chairs arrived via Home Depot 'white glove' service and were setup on our front porch. The quality of the construction and material is high. You definitely get what you pay for with Brown Jordan - expensive - but excellent quality. We are very pleased with overall with everything and would highly recommend these chairs and Brown Jordan patio furniture.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hawaii2009 Not what I was expecting from BROWN JORDAN
The chair is comfortable. My issue is with the wicker (resin material). It is rough to the touch. This makes the arms of the chair prickly. Why can't this material be made smooth.
This is not a cheap chair. I would have never thought this manufacturer would overlook this detail. I have enjoyed Brown Jordan products since the early 80's. Not happy with this product.

Love these chairs. They are so comfortable! The low back but deep seat make them perfect for our master bedroom deck. Highly recommend!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Russ Beautiful outdoor lounge chari
I had a cheaper version of this chair that ended up in shambles after two years. You can readily see the quality in this product. Though a little more expensive than other chairs it is well worth it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ILoveToHike Glad I made this purchase
First I need to preface my review by stating that when I decide that I need to make a large purchase, (such as an investment into patio furniture) I do my homework thoroughly before making any purchase. I start by searching the internet for both manufacturers and dealer websites. I make phone calls, visit local dealers (and not so local, if I happen to be out of town) and talk to family/friends who have made recent purchases. Sometimes, I ruminate for a length of time and then don't make any purchase out of indecision or dissatisfaction r/t availability of an item that adequately meets my needs. What takes me so long to make a decision ? I want to make sure that what I purchase will last and will suit my needs for such a length of time to justify the investment of both time and money (and as I don't want to go through the decision making process repetitively). I went through that process both before and after purchasing my first piece of the Northshore collection just to be sure !!) Although the NORTHSHORE collection was not on my radar initially, after sitting in a display model set up at a Home Depot store, I was hooked. This line is well made, comfortable and feels sturdy. With the warranty on the frame and the cushions, the deal was sealed and I purchased the display chair that evening. After a trial period on my patio, I made the decision that this was the collection for my family and I purchased other pieces on sale through the website. Although I was not sure if the scale of the furniture would be right for my 20x20 ft outdoor patio, my selection of 2 lounge chairs and matching ottomans along with a side table between them perfectly filled the area I had planned. The bottom "feet" of the pieces are fitted with levelers allowing for any patio surface irregularities. The color of the furniture, grayish brown is perfect to coordinate with many different colors. The cushions are very heavy and firm and although some prior reviewers stated that they were too heavy and held onto too much water, with an extended drying period, I cover my chairs when not in use as to prolong the life of the chair and the cushions. ( I did forget one evening and it did take a few hours to dry, which I expected) As for the actual chair dimensions and comfort, my husband is tall (6'4") and although the back of the chair is lower than some that I had looked at prior to my purchase, the depth of the chair, the supportive cushion and the use of the ottoman make it very comfortable for him(even to nap in !!). For me, (being only just 5'4" with shorter legs) this chair is a little too deep to sit straight up in without the use of the ottoman unless I have an additional pillow behind my back. That being said, on nice days I have taken my laptop outside and sat in it for hours to do paperwork (but be warned, the comfort factor of these chairs induces napping despite the need to do work while sitting in it !!) I look forward to getting many seasons out of this furniture !!
**AS A SIDE NOTE- I could not invest in the cost of the Brown Jordan covers at this time. However, I did find covers that fit this chair perfectly while shopping on Amazon (from Classic Accessories) ( Hickory heavy duty patio lounge chair). Although it did not seem that using the dimensions guide listed that they would fit, after talking to the company rep to get the actual dimensions of the cover I took a chance and it paid off - fitting perfectly !! I also purchased the 40" square fire pit covers to cover the ottomans (works great) and am purchasing the round fire pit cover for the side table ( the square fire pit cover did not come down far enough on the sides to cover the lower shelf of the table). These covers have been great and have kept the cushions dry this summer during any down pour as well as after the nightly dew cover !

I did a lot of research before purchasing the Brown Jordan outdoor furniture. It is very well made and we love the longer warranty on this over other brands I checked out.
