Answer:
Do you mean underlayment? I put this product on concrete subfloor. I used an adhesive with a moisture barrier right on the concrete.

When installing this floor as a floating installation we recommend using the underlayment Quiet Comfort or Quiet Comfort Premium. If it is being nailed or glued down the underlayment is not used.

This product has a semi-filled face treatment which means there will be some texture in the grain and on the board. To get a better idea of what it will look like I would recommend ordering a sample of this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bruce does it again We were using this to replace damaged flooring. Had to cut 1/8th inch off to match old flooring since the depth of floor being made has changed . Worked fairly well. Hard to do. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too many unusable boards Thirty feet of this flooring was not useable. The most common problem was the boards were bowed to the point where the tongue and groove would not fit together. A couple of pieces had damage to the finish. Two small pieces were jammed together and could not be seperated. This is an unnacceptable amount of waste. January 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easier than it looks Purchased flooring to finish off a 10 X 13' den area that meets up to an existing wood floor we installed 16 years ago. The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating was that the new floor did not exactly match the existing wood floor but I knew that going into the project. Size-wise, the flooring fit perfectly. One of the boxes had a few board sections that did not have a "clean" tongue side which proved annoying when it was discovered AFTER laying it on the glue. Be sure to check all your flooring pieces before you lay them down. Installation went as easy as expected. Laying out the glue proved the hardest part. The 10 X 13 floor was installed in a little over 4 hours and looked good, matched up with the existing flooring with the exception of being more "matte" like (not as shiny). The flooring was also a micro-groove with was slightly different than the existing floor. I did check around and found the price was very reasonable. People at Home Depot were very helpful in the purchase of glue and appropriate trowel. New den looks great! April 7, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by had lots of defective boards which could not be installed. I have installed over 800 sq ft of Bruce engineered hardwood flooring in my home prior to this additional 230. The product was easy enough to install, but there were so many cuts and inspection of each board because of unacceptable defects. We were also disappointed with the finish. It was more of a matte finish than the gloss we wanted, but that is not as big of an issue compared to the poor quality control of this product. July 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The wood flooring I received was consistent in color range. All of the product was in good condition with no damages. Delivery of my order was prompt. All of the order was in good condition. October 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked as advertised. We purchased what we thought was the same product before (Bruce 3" Gunstock finish) This was different locking method, but it worked just fine and looks good. We made it as a floating floor. February 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my new floor This floor was put in next to an existing wood floor. The color match was very good. I have a puppy and it resists scratches. This is a wonderful value for the price. November 10, 2012
