Great floor. We love it. It requires the floor to be prepared and then nailed and stapled. It takes more work than a snap and click floor. But we prefer the 3/4 hardwood without the extra work of staining and varnishing. Really like the product. Wish there was a few more longer boards. I understand it is random selection of boards.

I purchased 27 boxes of this flooring. So far I have finished 3 of the four rooms of the planned installation. I am very pleased with the look and feel but I do offer this advice. You MUST look over every piece prior to nailing it! Every single box I opened (21 so far) has had some flawed wood in it. By flawed I mean tongues damaged (this is the most prevalent defect). Some of the longer boards have been slightly warped. Now I lay each long board on its long edge to see if any daylight appears underneath. More often than not, the longer boards are unusable on the main floor. I have to save them for the closet where I can get away with a small gap. The video on HDs website says 75 QA checks. Ha! I don’t believe that for a second given the large amount of defects found. At this price point of over$100 a box, I would expect better quality and be able to install almost every board. Had I purchased this hardwood at Walmart, I would expect this lack of quality.

Many of the boards had dents, scratches, broken tongue joints, and cracks - really had to pick through box and had to use some of boards with defects or I wouldn't have completed floor.

Pieces were milled improperly width wise. So I had to sort through each box to find the best fit. Pieces had dings and dents on them coming right out of the box. Approximately 40 pieces were missing the tongues. Yes the floor looks great but one horrible floor to install. I really should of just returned the entire floor but I had 25% of it complete and then the disaster started. The manufactures quality control staff must be on vacation.

I love my new floor! I've wanted hardwood floors for a while now and finally was able to do it. I was super impressed as my contractor was at how many long boards there were in each box. The quality is amazing and I'm so happy I went with Bruce.

This is a beautiful floor for the value. The color looks exactly like shown in the online pictures. All cases were consistent in shade, so no mixing was required. Far fewer seams compared to my old floor due to the 5" width. There were no "bad" planks that had to be tossed due to blemishes. My only small complaint is a few tongue & grooves didn't fit as well as others, maybe up to 1/32" off in some cases, which caused some seams to appear a tad wider than the rest. It's not a big deal because the difference is very small, and would otherwise not be noticeable.
My wife loves it the final product, so that's what matters.
4.9 / 5.0 Overall.

This was our first experience with hardwood. My husband installed the entire floor himself with very few issues. Mostly user caused, not product.
The color and consistency of the wood was excellent. Value was good. For the price the look is much richer than laminate.
