I'd like to know the hardness on the Janka scale of this flooring but can't find if this is red or hard maple (big difference in hardness there).

Answer:
The floor you are looking at is not a floating floor. Solid hardwood cannot be floated. So it is not like laminate. The main difference between solid hardwood and laminate is that solid hardwood is going to be made out of all Maple, whereas laminate is made out of a composite material that has a printed visual on the top of it, to make it look like it is a natural species.
