Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mattyj Really nice floor...Great value!
Installed 780sq ft throughout the first floor. Really looks great. My only suggestion: Since some boxes have a different lot #, you may want to open boxes and mix up the pieces you're installing. We got through the first part of project with the same lot # not knowing there was a difference in the shading of wood with other boxes that had different lot #. I thought they were from the same lot because we purchased the wood at one Home Depot location. Overall, you really can't tell but if I were to do it again, I'd mix them up and check out the lot #'s. At 5.19 sq ft, you'd be hard pressed to find a 5 in plank at a flooring store for this price. Most flooring stores started at 6.99 sq ft. Hope this review helped if you're considering this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by me hardwood floor
the floor is awesome....however, a lot of holes and really dark patches with ruff scratches. Once you removed or cut off the few in each carton, it was smooth sailing. Really transformed my home

Came out very nice! Rustic look and great quality. The boards are all different, different shades and knots in the wood which adds to the rustic look. It was the first time we (husband and I) ever attempted to install a wood floor. Be prepared to hit the mallet hard to get a good fit, other than that it was pretty easy! Inspect each board as some are defective but very little waste.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kate Great product for a great price!
After doing a TON of research on flooring we were on the fence between bamboo, hardwood, and pergo. We were drawn to the bamboo for its Eco friendliness, but after reading about all the chemicals used to make it we were hesitant. Next came the idea to use pergo. We considered it for its derability and price. To be honest we didn't think we could comfortably afford hardwood. With 5 kids and 2 dogs it's hard to spend a lot of money on an item that you're afraid will get destroyed within a couple of years. However, we purchased 1000 sq.ft of the American vintage scraped fall because it was real hardwood and on sale for an unbelievable price (similar to bamboo and pergo). Finally, a hardwood floor that we could not only afford but that we loved! Installation was fairly easy once you get the right equipment. We made sure our boxes-all 37 of them were from the same lot for consistency purposes. This particular wood is suppose to seem a bit warn. It is handscrapped after all. We dont have any serious color differences between boards and there was a great variety between sizes ranging from 10-80 inches in length. The finished product is awesome. It has added warmth and character to our home. It's not your run of the mill hardwood. Each piece is just a bit different which is what we wanted. We're glad we made the purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PHLRowhouseReno Nice feel and quality but inconsistent color
We had our floor installed by an outside contractor. He likes the quality of the wood and has commented that there is very little waste. The product feels nice under foot and does not have that consistent rippled effect (like waves) that you often find in mass produced hand scraped floors. My only complaint is that there are multiple, dark "stain spots (1/2') and streaks (2-3") that are on the wood. These do not show up in ANY of the Home Depot displays or on the website but they are absolutely part of the design for the distressed look. They are consistent through many boxes and there are 10-15 per room, i.e there are many boards per box that are dotted. If I had known about them, I would not have purchased this wood (although they are growing on me). My husband likes them because he thinks they add to the interest and the age - I think they look sloppy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fry Great looking distressed floor
Great looking distressed floor when installed. I installed this floor myself and found it fairly easy to install. It would have been a breeze except I found planks varying up to an 1/8" in width which would cause a noticeable gap in some spots. I had to sort through some boards and use them in appropriate places to match widths with other boards. I installed about 350 sq ft. (15 boxes) and never had one board with the black filler that I read about in other reviews and actually saw on a display at our local Home Depot. I also purchased a wood stain marker (Homax brand) early American color and used it on a couple of scratches and the scratches disappear before your eyes. Works Great. I did find that Minwax stain in Provincial color matches on red oak pretty well when I stained a thresh hold for the slider.
