Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be installed directly over vinyl sheet flooring in above grade utility room?

Asked by: Anonymous
I have installed Laminate floor over vinyl sheeting and as long as the sheeting is level and tight you should have no problems.

can this be installed in bath

Asked by: Anonymous
I don't think I would install this flooring in a bathroom. I don't think it would do well where there's a lot of moisture. It's not very thick, I used it in a very small laundry room in my condo.

Is this beveled to look like separate tiles?

It appears there are 3 squares per separate board. Is the grout looking borders for each board beveled to look like separate tiles, or is it totally flat? i.e. does it look like each square is a separate tile, or does it look like groups of three tiles? Is there any texture or indentations between the 3 squares per board? Also, can this be installed installed over existing vinal flooring?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, there are 3 squares per separate board, & it's pretty flat. However, it does look like tile once it's installed. You can't tell there's any separation because the boards lock together. I used it in a small laundry room in my condo.

Can this be used in the kitchen?

Asked by: Anonymous
I suppose it could be used in a kitchen. I wouldn't personally choose this type of flooring for a kitchen. I would use something more durable for a kitchen. I used it in a very small laundry room in my condo.

Customer Reviews

Antique Linen 8 mm Thick x 15.94 in. Wide x 47.76 in. Length Laminate Flooring (21.15 sq. ft. / case) is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not snap together---Defective--had to be returned--19 boxes Professional installer could not install this Armstrong laminate flooring over the underlayment because the pieces would NOT snap together. They tried different pieces from different boxes. No luck. There was a gap along the seam that you could slip two pieces of binder paper inside. When they stood on the floor, it "wabbled" and squeeked. I had to return the flooring to Home Depot, which was very accommodating; they even unloaded the boxes from the back of my truck. Home Depot flooring salesman promised that if I ordered all the boxes from them, they would be from the same "create date". They were NOT. Of my 18 boxes ordered together, 10 were from December 2015 and 8 were from January 2016. This had no bearing in the fitment; no pieces would snap together.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing product installation qualty this product was totally unsatisfactory. the installer who had installed many brands of laminate was totally frustrated as the ends kept on popping out after being locked in. He even called the manufacturer who stated as a matter of fact they had received a number of complaints but felt the product was designed adequately for the needs. I have spoken to three installers since and all three verified problems with Bruce Armstrong and won't use their products again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best floor Love the look of this product in the store. I wasn't happy that I had to order it (it's not available in store, but it didn't actually say that at the display). If I had know that it wasn't available in store I would have ordered it before we were ready to install it. When it did arrive it was damaged, the edges were broken, the corners were chipped and it was noticeable after installation. I had to paint the grout lines to hide the damage. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment Installed per instructions on a solid and level floor with good insulated underlayment. All seams offset by 1 "tile", floor creaks and pops as you walk across it. You can see the joints flex and if you are wearing socks the joints will catch and pinch the fabric. The "grout lines" are poorly spaced which causes them not to line up very well. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy, I'm stuck with a $700 hot mess of a floor that looks nice until you walk on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this tile! Ordered this online & picked up in the store 4 days later. The color is beautiful & it seems durable, though it's only been down a couple of weeks. I did drop a heavy pair of kitchen shears on it but it didn't leave any mark, phew! It cleans easily with water & vinegar. My handyman didn't have any trouble installing it but there was a little more waste than I had anticipated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Antique Linen Laminate Flooring - I had this MDL. # L6573, SKU # 856-665, Antique Linen laminate flooring installed in my kitchen to complete a total remodeling job. The laminate floor was installed by a professional floor installer and all instructions were followed to insure the installation would be done correctly. The installed floor creaks and crackles very loudly when walked on and it has been down for two weeks. The kitchen was only a 10X12 and enough space was left around the border and the floor was flat and smooth and the underlayment was used. The tech at Armstrong is blaming installation and floor problems on the cause and they do not want to make good for a bad product. I want to thank the floor tech at Home Depot for helping me out with talking to this company. I would not recommend this product. Bill in Whiting, N.J.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product-Do Not Purchase I have never written a review before but I felt the need to write this review so that others do not have the same experience that my husband and I went through. We purchased the product for our kitchen, followed the instructions exactly as specified and everything about the floor was terrible. Pieces were damaged, broken and warped, they didn't go together properly and the customer service was the worst by the company and also Home Depot. I called them both with my concerns. The flooring company told me that I needed to call Home Depot and they would need to send out a representative to inspect the floor and start a claim to return the items. Home Depot said that they did not do that. I even offered to pay out of my own pocket for someone to come out and was told no. I spent an entire day going back and forth with both companies getting no help at all. I finally spoke with an individual from Home Depot, not the company because they would not budge and help me even though we purchased our entire kitchen from them and told them we just wanted store credit to purchase a floor from them that was not damaged, who authorized the return and took a hit himself because the company would not stand behind the product that they sell. The whole experience was awful and I urge you to stay away from this product as it is terrible and if you have any problems with it neither the company or Home Depot will help you.
