The color is a little darker than the sample picture, but I put in 700 square feet in a living room, dining room and kitchen. There were no problems, a few crooked boards that straightened out when wedged and nailed in. I have only had positive comments in how it looks. Make sure you open multiple boxes many have a lot of long pieces many have shorter pieces. You can avoid a lot of cutting if you are patient and find that piece that fits your opening it will save a lot of waste.

I bought 14 boxes. but almost every piece of planks from the 2 particular boxes has circular dents every 6 to 8 inches. see the photo attached.
Homedepot does not allow me to return them as my contractor did not realize the scale of the problem until having put down quite a bit of them.
Be careful about the quality. Check it before nailing it down.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rabade good product nice color
This flooring is beautiful. It is great quality. We installed ourselves and all of the pieces were well made and fit together snugly. The variety of color and size of pieces is wonderful. Hickory is very hard. That means durable, but it means it is that much harder to drive a nail through to install as well, renting a flooring nailer is worth the price.

This is an excellent product and arrived as advertised. The color matched very well to what was lited on the web site. Installed in 4 rooms and was much easier than another product I used. Most of the planks were long compared with other vendors that provide many short planks.

I ordered 500sq ft of flooring and was completely amazed. There were less than 5 boards total that were flawed but still usable. The colors were great with a mixture of dark and light. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to add unique character to their home.

This is beautiful flooring! We put it in a sunroom that adjoins our living room. The LR is oak, that was refinished 15 years ago (still in great shape, but aged looking...) and the hickory was the closest thing we could find to match. We are thrilled!!! Also, the installers used every single piece..no duds in the lot - none! So it is definitely worth any extra you might pay. We were reluctant to put down pre-finished as apposed to unfinished, but this stuff is gorgeous, nicer than anything else we looked at and best of all no mess :)

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WIBCarpentry The overall quality of this flooring was very good.
The Bruce Hickory Autumn Wheat 3/4 in. thick X 2-1/4 in. wide Hardwood Flooring was easy to install, very good quality with little to no waste (some minor imperfections), and looks really nice when installed! Only complaint (very minor one) was that some of the boxes had a lot of short lengths. However, as long as you stagger the joints this is a non-issue! The floor looks great! As far as durability, the hickory is a very hard wood and this is apparent when cutting it (I used a 70 tooth carbide-tipped blade on a Makita 10" sliding compound mitre saw). I am pretty confident it will resist denting alot better than your typical newer oak floorings. Check out the Janka (hardness) Ratings for reassurance! As far as the finish on the surface only time will tell! Hopefully it will last 30 years!

I give would floor itself a 4 star (But read my entire comments!). Its overall quality is acceptable. It doesn't look like what I see from the product description page on the Homedepot website. Nevertheless, I still like the look when the floor is done, although my contractor trashed about 5% of the planks due to what he described as having various quality-related defects.
However, I would give the delivery service only 1. The delivery was made by the company called Estes, which is the worst that I've ever experienced. I had to take three days off to wait for the scheduled delivery. The first scheduled one was canceled by the driver who complained about the weigh of the floors. He called late afternoon to tell me that it'd be delivered the next working day. But he dumped the load onto another driver's truck after he called me and the 2nd driver drove to my home after 5:30 when I had left already because of the previous cancellation and no one had ever called me for the change. The 2nd day's re-delivery was scheduled between 12-5, but at the end of day no delivery truck showed up. So I called and was told it was cancelled again. The delivery was eventually made on the 3rd day. But the driver didn't show up within the window time. I called the dispatcher and the dispatcher called the driver, who said he got lost even with a GPS on the truck and I don't live in the mountains! The truck eventually came after 5:45. Me and all my friends had to help him download the floors. The most outrageous thing is that their customer service rep didn't make any apology to me but told me that they could have charged me for the re-delivery since their driver did deliver to my door but I wasn't home!!!
