Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by terrible same problems here. floors have been in a year and there are thousands of scratches, dents, and impressions. has anyone contacted Bruce or Home Depot about the problems with these floors? it seems like everyone is having the same problems. they look terrible now. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Review after 1.5 years I really wish I did more research on this flooring before I purchased it. About 6 months after the floor was installed I had a few people over and the next morning there were a number of scratches and dents from the girls wearing high heels. I also started noticing scratches by the front door from where the dog likes to lay down. In both cases, I would hope that a decent floor would not allow these to happen. I'm very dissapointed, and I'm going to contact Home Depot to see if I can get some sort of store credit if I get another set of floors put in. August 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by awful This is not the way we thought hardwood floors would wear. We would have been happy to spend much more to not have the mess we have now. Not even a month old in our remodled kitchen, the granite isnt even on the counter tops yet and the floor looks worse everyday. What is scatching the surface? Maybe my two medium sized dogs? What is denting it? We have been so careful and are so disappointed. We bought maple they said it was one of the hardest. What is htis duraluster finish I swear if I look at it too ong it scratches it. If my cabinets werent all down I'd rip it up. We went hardwood becasue the new enlarged kitchen runs into the diningroom. Do yourself a favor do ceramic tile or laminate. My 12 year olf laminate in family room doesn't have any scratches. ugh January 31, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Terrible This product is terrible - do not buy or you will be unhappy too. I thought it might just be us since we haven't installed hardwoods before, but after reading other reviews, I see it is not just us. In fact, this floor looks worse after a few months than the original hardwoods in our 80 year old home. We have dents everywhere because my wife wore heels on the floor. I think it's downright terrible that Home Depot continues selling a product like this. October 8, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I hate this floor We had laminate flooring in our home and that held up better than this floor. it has been 3 weeks and the wood dining room chairs leave scratches on the floor everytime someone sits in one. There are dents all over the floor. i find a new one every other day, We put this floor in our foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen and boys room. i hate it and wished we had picked something else to put in our new home. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product is cheap When I purchased this product it was beautiful. Within 2 days of laying the floor there were scratch marks in the finish. It is now 2 months later and the floor is completely marked with scratches. I tried to buy a big area rug to protect the floor but even that scratches the finish. May 16, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful nursery floor! Beautiful floor with a good quality! my husband and father in law did the installation with two different types of nail gun. It only took us an evening to install.there is only a couple little hick ups here and there like no tongue and groove on two pieces no. Pretty impressive bow on one of the longer pieces but we kinda knew they were going to come so we can plan ahead for what would happen then from there we just kinda kept going we use 7 boxes for my daughters room it turned out beautifully in the picture you may or may not see that there are ups and downs in it but we're waiting for the floor itself to settle an we are not one of those people who think that hardwood is not going to scratch. We are expecting scratches especially since we own a black lab. If you have installed flooring like this its very easy. We still need some finishing touches. June 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this floor We bought and installed the Bruce gunstock maple hardwood floors in March 2012 The good - easy to install (probably 10% too warped to use) and pretty when brand new. And we only paid $2.50 sq/ft. The bad (1) dents and scrapes very easily - huge dents in front of where the fridge, stove and dishwasher were installed. Perhaps a more conscious installer may make a difference, but the point is it looks terrible immediately. (2) the finish is thin and cheap. A very small amount of water curls up the flooring in a heartbeat. We installed this floor in our kitchen and the floor is already warped in front of the dishwasher just from the humidity! Our only hope to having a nice floor is to sand and put a decent finish on the floor ourselves - something you never should have to do with a brand new floor! Not worth the money - buy something decent instead. May 9, 2012
