Does Eb526 have 3 layers of material. I am replacing wood in my closet and currently have EB526 3/8 x 3, butterscotch with 3 layers

Asked by: realtor
Yes, it is a laminate of 3 layers. I had some water damage when the refrigerator leaked, and the flooring de-laminated into the 3 layers. I was able to use this product to make repairs to a portion of my floor.

How is this product secured to a concrete slab base?

We previously purchased Bruce gunstock oak flooring from The Home Depot for our diningroom and hallways. We would now like to extend it into two adjoining bedrooms.
Asked by: Anonymous
This is a floating floor. Use a 3-in-1 underlayment (for moisture) and just throw the floor over it. The weight of the floor will keep it in place. use base board to cover the edges.

However I was making repairs to a floor that was installed nearly 20 years ago. The new sections of floor looks great while the old floor looks even older. The design of the product doesn't appear to have changed much over the years. Good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with our new floors! We are so happy with our new floors. My only regret is that we didn't put them in sooner. They look absolutely gorgeous. We went with gunstock and it is a beautiful warm rich color. Our whole house looks transformed. Every piece fit perfectly and it was easy enough to install ourselves. I especially like that we could use the same flooring in the basement as well. That provided us with the continuity of style we were looking for throughout our whole house. We would recommend this product to anyone. Simple to install, and looks GREAT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful flooring This flooring is beautiful! My husband installed it with relative ease on our concrete slab. We did use adhesive, and that was the tricky part as it can be messy if not done carefully. Having a damp cloth at the ready was helpful. We have this flooring throughout our first floor and I love how easy it is to keep clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality I have had my Bruce flooring for 3.5 years and it looks awful. Yes, I have dropped things on it and it does dent, it scratches easily and it shows every scuff mark. HOWEVER- there is a BIGGER problem with the flooring- I have submitted a claim to Armstrong and had a chunk of my floor sent to them. The dark grain in the wood in greying. We do not wear shoes in our home, we do not have pets and I have only used the Bruce floor cleaner they insist on being used. They are stating that it is not a manufacturer issue, but cannot tell me why it is greying. I would not recommend this flooring to anyone. It a floor, I get it, its gonna wear- But the grain should not change colors- especially dark brown to grey.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from floor scratches and dents I've had this floor in my house for 2 months and there are scratches all over it. we take off our shoes at the door, have furniture pads on everything but scratches keep appearing. My wife dropped a paperback book on the floor and IT DENTED THE WOOD! very unsatisfied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I chose Bruce Wood Flooring because I had is in my last home and the 18yr old floor still matched the extra pieces from the basement. But that was 1985 manufacture that was acrylic impregnated commercial quality. This new 2012 stuff is made in China ans splintery. Every time I drop something it marks...like a nightlight, can of food, silverware. Both are kitchen floors. What a shame, since the install is beautiful. Yeah, Bruce guarantees the finish but construction is a mess and to replace it with more inferior product? I don't think so. My advice, do real wood. It's less expensive than replacing every 4 years. I won't do Bruce Floors again.
