Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by HardwoodHeadache Not what I expected
The wood is difficult to install because the wood is not milled well. Many pieces were warped which made the joint difficult to get close. There was damage to many of the pieces, edges were worn, chipped, no finish and some color variances were major. More than 10% (closer to 20%) was unusable. I think this falls in the category of you get what you pay for. If I install oak hardwood again, I will go with unfinished oak and have it finished afterwards. The sanding and finishing process really gives the wood the look I expected from pre-finished but just can't be achieved.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HappyCustomer Great product & service
I am very happy with this flooring and the help I received from customer service when this product was out of stock online. The flooring was ready for pickup at my local store 5 days after I placed the order online. The staff at the store loaded the heavy boxes onto my truck and were very friendly. The flooring was installed by a vendor other than HD, it looks great! The installers noted that there were very few unusable boards in the 9 boxes. Thank you for a great product and experience!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Woody Quality is questionable
Much of the wood had bare spots and nicks which could not be used. There is significant variation in the color and the tolerances are just ok. Had to throw out more than 10%.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by coconutbean Love our new floor!
We had this floor installed (via HD) in our living room. The floor looks beautiful. The installers did a fabulous job, taking their time to make sure the variation of the wood pieces meshed well. We bought 16 boxes, laid over a new plywood subfloor with an insulator in between the plywood subfloor and the hardwood. The variation of the wood grains are so interesting and have a ton of character. The quality of the wood is excellent. We didn't have any issues with broken pieces but we did have an extra box so when we got to the end we weren't left with a bunch of small pieces to finish the job. I couldn't be happier with our new floor. The only thing I wish is that we would have done it a long time ago!! I don't miss my old carpeting at all!
The installers were absolutely wonderful, they were on time, professional, and take pride in the work they do. Bob and his team are truly the best!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by geterdone Good finish. Good price. overall very happy with this product.
A good product. Very few defects overall. Some boards were warped a little but was able to straighten out as I nailed. Some I needed a helper to tweek into position as I nailed. Not a big problem for me. A very few would not align perfectly and the butts would stick up slightly. If its a problem just select a different board or use any rejects as the starting piece. Be sure to work out of a couple of boxes at a time to make sure that you end up with a good mix of sizes. The floor looks great. Good price. I have done three floors with different products over the years. Make no mistake that it is hard work and I wouldn't want to do it for a living.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2KittyMom Great price, but order extra. Lots of unusable boards.
There were lots of low quality boards that should not have passed inspection. Many had tongues that were too short. Some had damaged corners/edges. Some were so warped they couldn't be installed - definitely a problem with the longer boards. One box was a noticeably different color, even though the labeling said it was the same. I ordered 12 boxes and ended up with almost one box of short pieces and rejects. On a positive note, the pieces that were usable were very nice and the floor looks great! This was the lowest price I could find anywhere. Just order extra and expect to do a little quality control yourself. It will still cost less that buying somewhere else!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JEM Bad expierence all the way around
I bought 12 boxes of flooring and over half of the pieces were short(8" to 15") long, which made it very difficult with planning the seams. For every long piece there were 15 short pieces. Very disappointed in a name brand product such as Bruce Flooring.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TWMFLOORING Worst Hardwood Flooring I every Bought
I bought 400' of Bruce Plano Marsh 3-1/4 Hardwood Flooring. When I opened the first 2 boxes, I was so shocked to see almost every board having worm holes, corners broken, splits in the wood and a good percentage of the tongues missing. I estimated that I could only use 10% of the wood versus 90%. The flooring is going back to Home Depot and I would never recommend buying Bruce Hardwood again! I have 18 boxes of flooring that I will have to lug back to Home Depot. I am so disappointed in this purchase!!!
