HD sells both on-line. Model # C0788 for the 3 1/4 and Model # C0688 for the 2 1/4.
I purchased both of them to alternate the design for our flooring upstairs.

Answer:
You really need to be careful if you are under grade level. Moisture is a problem you must be very proactive on! There are better options if placing on a slab including using manufactured flooring.

It is also recommended to use window shades from direct sunlight as the sun can cause "Sun-shading", Color changes in hardwood flooring, patina, are a natural characteristic of all wood species.

I finally got a message saying the item was back in stock, but it only showed that 4 boxes were available. When can we expect to see more of this made available? We cannot start our project until we can acquire at least 10 more boxes.

Plymouth Brown Hickory 3/4 in. Thick x 2-1/4 in. Wide x Random Length Solid Hardwood Flooring (20 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from not very satisfied Too many short pieces of wood. Three or four warped pieces per box. The milling of the tongue on some boards have tongues missing. Tounges split easily when stapled to the subfloor. I don't know if this will cause waves in the floor later on. The product inspection is not very thorough from the manufacturer. I was short one box and ordered another one. I sent it back because of the damage it had received during shipping. The box had been broken open and taped back together. The flooring had rubbed together and was scratched badly. I will have to try again. The other rooms I do will be unfinished wood and have a much better looking finish applied and no small beveled edges between boards to collect dirt.

I saw another comment/complaint about length of boards and wanted to give more info. We have opened 8 boxes and sorted the pieces from these eight boxes by length. See picture. Most boxes had at least one piece over 5 ft long. There were a total of 13 pieces longer than 6 ft; 35 pieces between 5 and 6 ft long. One box alone had 6 pieces over 5 feet long. One box didn't have any piece over 3 feet long. Shortest pieces were 11 inches (17 of those). So bottom line is: if you are only buying a few boxes, you may get stuck with lots of short pieces. But overall, the distribution of lengths in these 8 boxes will work for us since we don't have an abundance of long rooms or hallways to cover.

My 21 year old son did the installation- his first experience with this. Some guidance was needed by my husband to make sure the first few rows were straight- but most info was learned watching youtube video! The small width, 2 1/4 in, takes time to do. Larger width would go faster- but the overall look of the floor is amazing!!! This Mom is soooo happy! I want to order more to do another room, but just found out it is out of stock right now. The price was exceptional.

We installed this hardwood over the course of 1 weekend in our living room, which included taking out the old carpet, padding, and a small section of tile. We placed just under 300 sq ft of the hardwood. I purchased a used flooring nail gun that shoots cleats and it worked great, ensuring an accurate hit in the groove and helping to push the pieces together nice and snug. The wood was good quality with a variety of lengths. We didn't have too many that had cracks, wrapping, or other defects that we needed to discard so we had very little waste. We think the color is great and it went in well. I would recommend this wood for other. All our friends have commented on how beautiful the wood floor looks as well. We had a Floor Muffler underlay which seemed to be high quality as well, but more expensive than other alternatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for your home I wish there was enough floor space for HD to showcase all the great products they also have on-line. You won't find this Bruce product at their store but it is a quality hardwood flooring that is durable (hickory) and looks great. I also purchased the 2 1/4 to alternate the design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great flooring! Beautiful and durable! I was a little apprehensive about ordering flooring unseen. I am so glad that I decided to rely upon the reputation and history of Bruce flooring owned by Armstrong. Shipping to the store was a great option. It was a very easy process of picking it up using Home Depot rental truck. Got it loaded and dropped off at home and truck back in a little over an hour. The flooring is exactly as ordered. We are going to enjoy it for years to come!
