Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trapperman Great saw and does the Job
I needed a saw that would cut smooth and clean for my project and the14 in. Wood Handle PRO Miter Back Saw does the job and cut’s the angles that I need. I also have an Electric Miter saw but the pieces of wood am using are too small, So I needed a hand saw and after looking at a number of saw’s I found the 14 in. Wood Handle PRO Miter Back Saw, The wooded Handle forms itself to your hand which gives you a firm grip

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DALA 16 TPI version in store
I bought the back saw in a 16 TPI version in the store. Also there was no Buck Bros. logo on the blade.
The store did not stock the 12 TPI version as described in this product overview.

At first, this saw worked beautifully in its respected miter box (sold seperately). The cuts are very clean. However, after some medium to heavy use, I noticed that the saw appeared to become less effective. In my opinion, it started to require more manual work to do the same thing. The sides of the blades also loss their smoothing, which increased the friction between the blade and the wood being cut. Overall, the miter saw is GREAT for small to medium jobs. With some difficulty, I was able to get the job done.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by munke2112 For a 15.00 saw it works after it was sharpened
This saw is thin enough for dovetails, but the teacher stated that the saw was dull so he sharpened it up for free (a 40-80.00 value) and he explained to me while sharpening the spine seems to be not as strong as it might be.. Still cuts wood, just a little 'crooked' to his eyes ... I didn't see what he apparently did. (from a hand tool only can dove tail by hand faster then it takes to set up a machine)

This saw is made great. The handle is not loose like other saws.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RK Not as advertised
The cutting depth is 2 7/8 inches below the back brace. The saw is alleged to be 3 inches. Will not work in some miter boxes. Other than that, the blade and construction are decent for the price point.
