Customer Reviews

Rated 2.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK for light use When my pump arrived I was anxious to try it out, but it woulnd't start for nothing. After reading other reviews, and the useless instructions, I decided that calling for tech support would be pointless. So I decided to rely on my own mechanical skills to troubleshoot the problem. I discovered that the fuel line was installed in such a way that it put too much of bend in it and pinched off the fuel supply. Once I replaced the fuel line, it started right up. Seems to have good pressure, and it emptied a 650 gallon tank very quickly. I would not recommend this pump for heavy industrial use. April 17, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Newly purchased and engine would not start After checking obvious things like spark plug connectection, fuel tank to carburator connection, etc. decided to call Buffalo Tools customer support. The person that answered the phone put me on hold for 10 minutes while a technician was notified of my situation. The phone person (not the technician) comes back on the line and says "You have to fill the oil in the crankcase to the top until no more oil can be put in". Needless to say that didn't work. More contact with support rendered more hold time and the phone person (still no contact with a technician) communicating "Are you trying to start it on level ground?" and "Is there gas in the tank?". I will be returning this product to Home Depot and purchasing another brand. Both the product and Buffalo Tools support were disappointing. March 16, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by no parts available I cannot recommend purchasing this pump any longer.I attempted tp obtain a shaft seal from the company and was told parts are not available. The pump works good but they are throwaways when they need service May 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great pump with lots of output pressure. I installed this pump on a water trailer for fire fighting use. It has never failed and has out sprayed the local fire dept. pump. With the idle set to the lowest it will go I get a good 75 spray from the hose. Great back-up for when the fire dept can't make it there in time!!! September 15, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by damaged when received The gas tank was broken loose and it would not run due to a pinched gas line. We repaired it and it works fine but it took 3 or 4 hours time, not what you need when you're ready to use a new prduct August 6, 2011
