This is the only pre made French door that would fit in my home where I needed it. I ordered the door, it took over a month & a half to get it & when I did, it was broken. So, in person told them to return it & re-order another one BUT to double wrap it. The second arrived in 10 days or so & was broken again, not double wrapped. Frustrated, again being in person at the store, told them to return it & re-order for the 3x. Double wrap it from the warehouse. 5 days later, I got a email that Home Depot had they just cancelled the order all together!! It took a week to get the money back in my account as well. So, how's the product? I have no idea. The sucky part for me is, I NEED this door. Just can't seem to get Home Depot to get me one in one piece.

Very nice quality for the price. Shipping was a bit confusing as they kept changing the estimated delivery date by a week at a time & it did take 2.5 weeks for it to arrive after I ordered it. But worth the wait!

I bought two of these for a just under 4' opening into a dining room. I had to trim 1/2" from both sides of each door to fit. I found that the doors are not made of clear pine. They are in fact knotty finger jointed pine with a clear pine veneer that makes them appear to be clear pine. You need to be very careful when selecting a spot to install your hinges or you may wind up screwing into knots. Also now whenever the doors are open anyone can clearly see the knots and finger joints on the edges. Home Depot should indicate this in their advertisement. I would only recomend this product if youre ok with the construction.

These are precisely machined pine doors, and only needed a very light sanding to prepare for priming. For unfinished interior pine French doors, these are about as good as you could get. Slab doors by nature just aren't easy to install. If you can't spend the time or effort making absolutely sure that the jambs are plumb within 1/8th of an inch, top to bottom, you will have problems getting these to hang right. But, that won't be the fault of the doors, which are square and true. They also have a pre-bored hole in the top of the door which could accept a ball-type catch. If you want to use this hole, just make sure that you don't attach your hinges on that side. The plastic film on the panes made it easy to paint. So, for slab doors, these allowed for a relatively easy installation. My only minor complaint is that every pane of glass is marked with 'Xingfu Glass Tempered 16 CFR 1201 CII'. But, it's not obvious. I used knobs and backplates original to our 1920 house, and new hinges, ball catch and a surface bolt in oil-rubbed bronze from HD. These doors were installed in the entrance to our sunroom, replacing the original doors which had been removed by a previous owner. We're very pleased with the way they fit with the craftsman style of the house and nearly match the original 16-pane casement windows.

Delivered to our door, it was just what we wanted, with no unexpected surprises. We especially liked that the glass was covered in plastic, making the painting easy.

Good quality door, very solid. The packaging could be a little better, though. We had to reorder it due to damage the first time. But it is a nice door and easy to work with.

I love this door. We installed it as a laundry room door, so you can see from the laudry room if anyone is in the refrigerator before opening the door on them.
