Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 98 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The Worst Fastener I've Ever Used I was attempting to replace the old ones that broke, but once these are about halfway into the hole, they begin to bend and will not insert any further. I tried everything I could think of, but fighting with these fasteners from the top of a 32 foot extension ladder was becoming dangerous. I'll return these and use reliable concrete anchors. I'll probably save some money. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple to use, does the job Drill the hole, insert the fastener and use a portable drill to seat. 16 shutters installed in less than a hour with these fasteners without and problem. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Effective fasteners Worked well. Some have more distinct mold flash than others. May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless shutter locks 75% of these shutter locks were too flimsy, and did not work. They disintegrated with gentle taps with a hammer. The installation instructions indicated they could be tapped with a hammer. They flat out could not be used to fasten the shutters to the house and our contractor had to go back to Home Depot and find another solution. Waste of time, money and patience. Don't buy these. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shutter Lock Fasteners Shutter Lock Fasteners Here is why my shutter fasteners are breaking. It only happens on my shutters that are fastened to brick facing, and only those fasteners on the top or bottom of the shutters, not the ones in the center. The shutters that are fastened to vinyl siding have yet to break. The reason is the shutter holes do not align with the holes drilled in the mortar between the bricks (where you tend to drill the holes). The difference in distance is off by as much as ½ inch. Consequently, the end fasteners take the brunt of horizontal stress and in time break. Another point is that the fasteners that are breaking have a flush button head; where the replacements have a raised button head, and are a bit larger in the head and shaft; these have yet to break. Maybe the manufacture has redesigned them??? April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product Had to replace the bolts on a plastic shutter. The fastners were easy to install. September 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well designed product The old "shutter spikes" became brittle over time (13 years) and some of them broke and needed replacement. The only issue with installing the new "spikes" was getting parts of the old "spikes" out which I solved by drilling into them. The old "spikes" either broke into pieces or pulled out with the drill when I drilled into them and then the new "spikes" pushed into place for a secure fit. July 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unnecessary They recommend these to go with the shutters but they came with all you need. July 26, 2016
