Listen, you only buy these when you need them, and they're pretty much the only game in town. You'll have to paint them whatever color you need them to be and then put painter's tape over the head before you bang them in. Make sure you use the primer plus paint or the color will come off when you peel the tape. For what they are, what they cost and what they do, it would be tough to find better.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathy perfect color match. Smooth and easy ordering and pickup process.
On a windy day I realized one of our shutters had been installed with only 3 fasteners and the wind was able to catch and lift it away from the siding. The shutters and existing fasteners were all colonial blue so I hated to settle for white or black. Fortunately I found this set at Homedepot which turned out to be the perfect match.
The only thing that would have been better is if they were sold individually since I really needed only one not the full 12-pack.
The fastener was very easy to install requiring only a drill to create a starter hold and a small hammer or mallet to drive the fastener in.

The fasteners were not as sturdy as required to hold the heavy shutter. Each would bend as it was hammered into the siding. I broke 3 of the six fasteners during installation.

These were the easiest fasteners I've ever used. Made the installation go faster and held the shutters securely. They supply plenty of extra fasteners as well so we have replacements if they are ever needed and I don't foresee that at all because they are so well made.

Don't know how long they will last, but these are made of plastic. You might think that this item will not work, but you will be surprised.

Package listed as having 12 pins. While a few packages had one or two extra pins, one package only had nine pins.

These look ok, but they are just cheap plastic. An option for metal would be great.

I was attempting to replace the old ones that broke, but once these are about halfway into the hole, they begin to bend and will not insert any further. I tried everything I could think of, but fighting with these fasteners from the top of a 32 foot extension ladder was becoming dangerous. I'll return these and use reliable concrete anchors. I'll probably save some money.
