Long lasting already painted light weight. Easy to install received it quickly adds value renters very happy with it will be buying many more for other rental properties in the future. I don't normally write reviews on the products I buy but did on this one because you require fifty words. Lol

We bought several shutters. The installation was difficult. The "screws" are actually hefty plastic pegs that have to be pounded through the holes in the shutters and into pre drilled holes in the house. Some pegs broke in the process but spares were included, thank goodness. I initially thought it was odd that every shutter had extra pegs. Now I know why. The pegs look better than screws but there is no slot in the head to back the pegs out if you want to remove the shutters at a later date. The pegs will have to be destroyed at that time. Other than that the shutters look great and delivery was quick.

The paintable shutters took paint with one coat. Easy to hang. A good product at a reasonable price.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by tbcb These are some CHEAP shutters
These shutters look fine from the street. These are rock bottom, cheap shutters. Very flimsy. If you can get past their cheapness, they should last about 10 years. My original shutters, installed by a production builder, same material, look and construction (well, "molding", not construction) lasted 10 years, and then in a hail storm, broke to bits as the plastic had gotten brittle. This purchase was to replace the originals. I don't expect the performance of these shutters to be any different - same material and style as originals.
Description says "without the maintenance worries of wood". True. Wood shutters might last 20 years or longer. These won't, so don't worry about it.
To install, you need a drill and a hammer. Or a shoe with a hard heel if you don't have a hammer.

We installed the raised panal on our window except for 2 small windows, the color we used wasn't offered in the small size for some reason. we installed 2 louvered and I definitely like the look of the raised better, just personal preference, but overall installed the same and quality is the same as raised panal. I am afraid that bee's and spiders will make homes behind the louvered shutters though, that's another reason I like the raised panal better.

We have shutters on our house that we bought over 25 years ago. We needed to buy a few more as we recently put an addition on our home. These shutters matched up beautifully to our old ones. We are very pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NEMajorDude Great looking upgrade
This was one of the easiest nicest cheapest upgrades I ever did. There's nothing to hanging the shutters and they look terrific! They're a durable plastic that I would think would last for years and years with NO maintenance.
If you have bare windows and you want to really improve the looks of your house, put these up. You'll have them hung in no time and it's the kind of job that makes you smile when you're done.
