Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They are made out of plastic and they look like plastic. I bought the shutters online and I knew they were made of plastic, but I figured I was paying a decent amount for them and they would not really look like plastic shutters once installed. But, I was wrong, after they were installed and from a little distance, they still look like plastic shutters. The installation was not difficult, but it would have been good if some holes were provided as to where to screw them in. If holes were provided, the holes could have been countersunk to hide the head of the screw. The painters installed ours and they were inconsistent in where they added the screws, so work looks shoddy- but this is not the fault of the shutters. For what the shutters are I think the quality is fine, although I think if the plastic was thicker, they would have been less flimsy and would had a better feel and look to them. October 27, 2015
