We are very pleased with the appearance of our new shutters. Easy to install, just measure and follow directions. The shutters look so much more expensive than they actually were. Loved the color, too!

I ordered the 48" shutters and had them delivered to our HD store. The first set was damaged in shipping and HD handled the return.
The shutters come with flimsy plastic push fasteners which at first I didn't think would work with our brick siding. I ruined a fastener before figuring out what works best.
You will need a hammer drill with a 1/4' masonry bit. The key is to drill the hole in the mortar between the brick at least 1/4" deeper than the length of the fastener the first time. Once you put the fastener in the hole it's hard to get it out again and you will probably ruin it.
Another tip is to slightly enlarge the hole through the vinyl shutters so you can easily slide the fasteners through the vinyl and into the hole drilled into the mortar.
I inserted each fastener about half way by hand and then used a rubber mallet to gently tap it in the remainder of the way. The shutters really dressed up the appearance of our house. Good luck!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Novice New installation great, replacement much harder.
Replacement can be a task. Cut caps of shutter plugs on the outside of shutter. Use a 5 in 1 tool and hammer sideways. Try to pull all of plug out next with a pair of pliers and wood to protect your siding. If it is in a solid surface you will need to drill out the old plug, use a drill bit smaller than the plug and pull out all remnants of the plug. Take the old shutter and align with new and drill same size holes into it. When installing new shutter to old holes, make sure to not hammer to hard and use care that is doesn't pinch the shutter.

The look and appearance of the shutters was as expected, but the quality was below what I had expected based on previous shutter purchases a few years ago.
