I want to add some white non paintable shutters (model #010140048001) on the front of the house with paintable shutters (model #101040048030). Is there any noticeable difference in style or finish?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Builders Edge. The only difference is one is paintable and one is not. They are made in the same mold, the style and finish are the same.

I have exterior vinyl siding; it looks like clapboard or Hardy plank when viewed from the street. The original siding was wooden clap board and it still is under the vinyl siding.
Thanks, Woody

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful shutter So very easy to install !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! level it, drill the hole, place the fastener, repeat x3 and you are DONE!!! They look sharp, great color as well. Should have put them up years ago. Ordered online - only took a few days to arrive. Graet service! October 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great visual "pick me up" The shutters really add a nice new look to the house. The only minor issue is with the fasteners. They easily bend/break if you're not somewhat careful. Because they're barbed fasteners, you only get one attempt at getting them right. I broke the first one because I attempted to force it instead of tapping it in gradually. I had one bend between the vinyl siding and the wood sheeting of the house because I hurried it. Just be sure the fastener is in the drilled hole before tapping it in. Basically... slow down and they'll work fine. March 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good shutter poor hardware The shutters are very nice but the attachment hardware is very poor, they are plastic and bend when try to incert them. Then they don't hold the shutter firmly on the house. July 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to hang once you get the hang of it We installed these on brick. Initially, we followed the instructions and tried drilling straight through the shutter and into the brick. However, it kept slipping. Also, with the 4" bit having to go through the thickness of the shutter and then the brick, the holes weren't deep enough to accommodate the screws provided. They were sticking out from the face of the shutter and when we tried to tap them in, several of the heads broke off! (They are real cheap looking plastic so you have to be really gentle in tapping them in and not forcing them in. That being said, after we messed up with the first shutter, I recommend placing the shutters in the correct location, holding it in place and then drilling through the shutter and just marking the brick with the drill. Then, remove the shutter, and drill through the brick with the masonry bit. Put the shutter back in place and GENLY tap the screws through the shutter and the brick! Yay! Now it's easy!!
