Flimsy. Can't be painted. All ten I purchased are sitting on my junk pile. Totally useless. I no longer have the receipt and tried to paint them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sonny great looking shutters
drilling the holes into a brick home was the hardest and you have to drill it 3/1/4 inches so the locks or screws will go in all the way. I broke a few and asked the company to send me a bag and they did they are brown shutters and look great. Customers had some reviews about looking thru the louvers, i got around that I bought black solar screening and cut the screen 12 x 48 and hot glued it to the back side. Now no bugs can get in back of it, home is a off white brick with brown shutters looks great. Thanks home depot and Builders Edge.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bubb Good shutter for the money !
The shutters arrived promptly VIA UPS and appear to be very durable. The installation instructions were simple and all the items needed to install them were in the box. They were replacing existing shutters on our home and greatly improved the appearance and the curb appeal of our home

The product looks good and easy to install. Even though it is competitively priced, the product is made of light plastic. I purchased black screws at 2.97 per box. The fasteners I was concerned about because of wind and they are 6.88 per 12. The siding is being installed and the shutters look really good.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ShutterBlues1 Lowe's Shutters Are Better
We ordered a pair of shutters from Lowes at the same time so we could compare the quality of them with ones from Home Depot. The shutters from Home Depot were not as high quality as the ones from Lowes and the price was a bit higher. Lowes' shutters were thicker material and seemed sturdier and also came with both color matching screws and shutter lock pins. Home Depot shutters came only with the lock pins. We wanted to use screws to install our shutters. So, since we were getting everything we wanted with the Lowes shutters, and at a lower price, we returned the ones from Home Depot and ordered nine (9) more pairs from Lowes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mom2Kady Easy to install and look great
We replaced old wood shutters with these new vinyl ones. They mimic the wood grain perfectly, are lightweight and VERY easy to install. The size was accurate and fit beautifully. We are very pleased and would recommend them based on their appearance and value.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by merhoads1 This Builders Edge Louvers were a real joke..
TERRIBLE MATERIAL,Like a toy, flimsy, bendable. But after opening shutters, It was VERY disappointing, as I had bought these shutters in 3/2010. If you turn them over, they can be used again. I live in California, and the sun hits my home directly all day. Those shutters were great! But the new Builders Edge is a sorry excuse for the former one!. VERY flimsy, bendable,1' shorter, cheap material and thin. It's like installing a toy on my house. It will NEVER last through two summers, it's that thin. I wasted my money. I am returning this product. However, the shutters Tuxedo Gray was true to the small example they showed me.
