We purchased the "paintable" shutters just over a year ago for our new home. They are now melted and warped after this summer. We do live in Arizona, in the heat, but never expected the shutters to actually melt. If you live where it gets hot, do not buy these shutters. They look awful and we will have to replace them. I have looked up the warranty and will be mailing a claim to the manufacturer.

Needed to pump up the front of a rental property and wanted to match the front door color. These worked perfectly. Painted easily and installed over brick with ease. (At least my handyman said so...).

We ordered the primed shutters & had them painted the color we wanted. The price was very reasonable & Home Depot had the size we needed. We had to special order which I did online without any problems. They were delivered promptly & in excellent condition. We chose the shutters with the raised panel to match our front door. They look great.

The raised panel shutters look great! My only complaint would be they can't be ordered in light grey so I had to buy the paintable ones. Which show up in light grey but required to be painted because they are not UV protected. Otherwise, it's a great product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhs22 Great value, easy install
I got two sets of these to put on the windows on either side of my front door. I struggled deciding between shutter materials and was concerned these would look cheap. But I finally chose these as we live in a wet climate and I figured the wood would only last so long. If they looked cheap and bad, I figured I could always return them. I was a little nervous when they arrived just because I want convinced before I painted them (to match the front door). However after painting them with high quality paint, you'd never know they were $60 a set! I'm thrilled. It's honestly the best most cost effective project I've done on my house. I did two coats of paint with a good brush. Application was easy.. Then figured out placement on the windows, drilled the holes through the shutters and house, pushed in the screws, then painted the screws. Painting for all four shutters took 45 min per coat and installation took less than an hour. Highly recommend!

Shutters were painted easily, simple to drill and attach to my home. They were not at firm as I thought they would be, my last vinyl shutters seemed sturdier, however they still look great on the house.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sb49 Wonderful look at a good price
Great wood grain appearance. Even though the back is hollow, they look substantial with a thick depth. We had them installed by a professional and he initially complained about the plastic anchors, but after he finished he said they worked well and he believed they would not be a problem. We added the quarter round panel at the top and we love the finished look. In our community of similarly styled homes, these shutters have added a bit of personality to what could be called a bland home exterior and we have received several compliments.
