I was able to install my shutters with the nylon plugs I ordered, with very little difficulty. I had to drill out the old plugs, but once done, the new ones slid in with the help of a small mallet.

Replaced existing shutters with a new style and color. Removal of old shutters was straightforward and provided a template for drilling new shutters. Purchased these extra fasteners, in case I made mistakes, but fasteners that came with shutters were sufficient.

The fasteners were not as sturdy as required to hold the heavy shutter. Each would bend as it was hammered into the siding. I broke 3 of the six fasteners during installation.

These were the easiest fasteners I've ever used. Made the installation go faster and held the shutters securely. They supply plenty of extra fasteners as well so we have replacements if they are ever needed and I don't foresee that at all because they are so well made.

Don't know how long they will last, but these are made of plastic. You might think that this item will not work, but you will be surprised.

Package listed as having 12 pins. While a few packages had one or two extra pins, one package only had nine pins.

These look ok, but they are just cheap plastic. An option for metal would be great.

I was attempting to replace the old ones that broke, but once these are about halfway into the hole, they begin to bend and will not insert any further. I tried everything I could think of, but fighting with these fasteners from the top of a 32 foot extension ladder was becoming dangerous. I'll return these and use reliable concrete anchors. I'll probably save some money.
