I'm just looking for a new, more pleasing cover for an existing bathroom wall exhaust fan. I'm just wondering if and how this product will attach. Thanks.

Answer:
Yes it will attached to an existing vents. It fits 4" diameter ducts and has a reducer to accommodate 3" diameter duct. You will need a clamp. I connected one to a vinyl duct that was connected to a bathroom exhaust vent and secured the duct with large zip ties.

Answer:
The cover of our intake / exhaust vent snaps onto the base the comes with our vent. You may want to contact customer service at 800-969-7245. From there you could email us a picture to determine if our vent cover will work with your existing vent.

Answer:
Greetings Chris,
My name is Tom, also known as HD116 at Home depot's How to Community. I am here today addressing a few product questions and saw yours.
This is a vent that is designed to be installed on the outside of the house and attach to a kitchen or bathroom vent duct.
I hope that helps to clarify things.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for multiple uses This is the second vent I purchased from H.D. The first one was for a fresh air intake vent for our boiler used in a wall mount. My boiler repair guy liked it alot. The second was installed at the soffit for a bathroom exhaust vent. Both were easy installs with a little patients and thinking about what one is doing. The one on the wall has even stood up to me hitting it with my garden tractor. August 22, 2012
