Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Had it for 2 years I bought this for Christmas at the special "sale" (regular) price in 2014. Been fine with it. Heavy and doesn't flop around if you tighten the lock nut well. The stabilizer rubber started to disintegrate after a year. The hold down straps (made from some sort of silicone) are still holding up. The plastic caps have come out and gotten smushed. The rubber strips that sit in the grooves uses this very nasty black tar as glue that got all over the bike and subsequently my pants (I ended up putting paper towels between the rack and the bike to sop it up). But, overall, does a great job of holding bikes. I haven't ordered the repair parts yet, but Buyers insists that you can order replacement rubber parts from their distributors. Their distributors are only available via webform referral (painful) and none? of them sell these parts via the web (a Google search of the P/Ns didn't find any). Here is the manual to get the P/Ns: www.buyersproducts.com/Common/Documents/3005246_B.pdf . Here is the referrals web page: http://www.buyersproducts.com/Find-A-Distributor. They did call me back fairly promptly (<24 Hrs). Here is the support phone number: (440) 974-8888. July 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bike rack Assembly required but not hard. It's very sturdy but heavy. I installed it on my Nissan Xtera and it works beautifully. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy but a great bike rack. Lots of pieces to put together, and heavy, but I like this bike rack. Very stable when used in my 2" hitch. Only issue is that I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty and I have to remove the tire on the back to properly install it. Which is not a deal breaker. Highly recommend this bike rack. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great to go camping and bring along the bikes I bought this 4 Bike rack over a year ago so I've used it to tow along our pop-up camper and bring the bikes for the family for two summers. It is a little heavy, which is good in a way because it is sturdy and tough. Backing up the pop-up into the state park campsites is no harder than usual with this on compared to a normal hitch. It holds 4 bikes, works great on boys and mens bikes, because of the design of girl bikes they are harder to load and stick up at weird angles but still work for our family of 1 boy, 1 girl, 1 woman and 1 man bikes. Only minor downside there are rubber pads on the rack that during the heat of the summer and with road vibration tend to move around and a black gummy substance gets on some of the bikes. I would highly recommend this, and Home Depot has a great price. October 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Melted all over my bike! Overall strength of the mount does not appear to be an issue. There are three main issues I have with this rack. 1st is the rubber grips that hold the bike on fell off in transport and almost made me lose one of the bikes. The second issue is that the rubber tape that prevents the bike from scratching on the metal melted in 90 degree weather while I was on a trip with the bikes on the back. The adhesive is all over my bikes now like a sticky tar. The third and final one I will mention is the tube that fits within the receiver is a bit small and the rack wobbles unless you use a ratcheting strap(not included) to tie it to your bumper or underneath the car. If it weren't for that strap I would have heard it wobbling all over as I did on the way to my vacation for 5 hours. If your going to use this often I would suggest a better one. I got my on a black Friday sale for about $40 from Home Depot. August 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best Bike Rack This product is very sturdy, and doesn't sway when vehicle is in movement. My only complaint is that due to the shape of the rack, it won't carry kid's bikes and certain bikes that have a BMX bike frame. This purchase is worth your money, and the product will last a long time. I will surely buy from this American company again. July 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4-bike rack Easy to install and easy to use. Bikes stay where you put them. Question longevity of hold down strap-time will tell. July 21, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very frustrating This item shipped to my home for free and very quickly which was nice. It was frustrating to put together even with my best friend helping me. After about an hour we got it together and got it on the back of my Ford Escape. It was very wobbly which was a little concerning but not a huge problem. However when we tried to put our bikes on it, it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE. We're both females so we don't have a bike with a straight bar across like men's bikes do, so neither bike would sit flat on the rack. We scraped and gouged my bike and had to use all body weight and jam it on over the stabilizers, which were absolutely worthless because there was nowhere for them to fit on the bike. Her bike basically just sat on top of the rack and we had to use a couple bungee cords to secure it to my bike and to the rack in case the straps failed. It's a good thing we did that because about 2 hours into the trip one of the rubber straps broke! For the amount of work this thing was to put together, how impossible it was to even get our bikes on it, and the strap that broke the first day of use, this thing was not worth $84. It would've been quicker and a lot easier to just toss them up on the roof and strap them down. June 22, 2015
