It was a pretty dusty mess opening it up, no squirrels yet, and the worst part is the extra log I put in a plastic ziplock in my laundry room, and within 2 days it was filled with termites!! Termites? Why is this "sweet corn mix" attracting termites? (Not ants, I called pest control to confirm) Smells and looks like sawdust crumbles... Real corn would've been way better.

The squirrel's were constantly eating the bird seed I put out . I figured I would try these squirrel logs to see if it would keep them away from the seed . You get 2 heavy logs in a pack and a screw to mount it on . I put it into my wooden fence about 6 inches off the ground . The squirrel's were instantly attracted to it . I can't say it keeps them away from the bird seed but it has cut down the amount of seed the squirrel's eat by 75% . So I would recommend it .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by FECTEAU NOT REAL TASTY ... I GUESS
I'm no expert on what squirrels like to eat ... but they don't seem to like this as much as regular dried ears of corn. Just as there are times when the "dogs won't eat the dog food," this time the squirrels won't eat this squirrel food.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rachel Great for gnawing pets
i actually buy these for my rabbits and guinea pigs to gnaw on, since they won't chew on any toys and I worry about their teeth. They LOVE them. I know the corn isn't that great for them but I feel like the gnawing action they get from these (these are extremely hard!) is worth it. I just wish home depot carried the nut and corn version as well.
