Product Overview

The CAMO Edge Deck Fastening System works on most treated lumber, hardwood, cedar, composite or PVC deckboard. CAMO Edge Fasteners, a CAMO Marksman tool, and CAMO Driver Bits combine to deliver a fastener-free deck surface at a price that makes getting the job easy and installing the deck even easier. The CAMO Edge Deck Fastening System is engineered to work exclusively together. Using other branded tools, fasteners or bits will impair performance and won't produce the desired results.

  • For use with most nominal 2 in. x 6 in. (1-1/2 in. x 5-1/4 in. to 5-3/4 in.) solid or grooved deckboard
  • Protech coated - 1500 hour salt spray
  • Covers approx. 200 sq. ft. deck
  • 2-free driver bits included
  • A reverse rake tip removes deck material as it bores, allowing the screw to penetrate the board without splitting
  • A star drive offers more points of contact for better performance and reduces bit slippage and wear
  • An aggressive lower thread pattern provides superior holding power while the reverse upper thread pulls the board tight to the joist and provides a clean, finished entry
  • A unique trimhead design provides a less visible point of entry

Customer Questions & Answers

what is the pound for this tub?

I have looked all over but I could not find it.
Asked by: Carpenter1
All CAMO Hidden Deck Screw pails and clamshells are measured by the screw count, not the number of pounds of screws in the packaging. This particular item (#345144), has a quantity of 700 screws in the pail. 700 CAMO Hidden Deck Screws will cover approximately a 200 square foot deck (based on 16 inch OC and nominal deck boards). You can tell the number of screws in the packaging by looking at the bottom left corner of the label on the front of the pail. Thank you for viewing this CAMO product! -Team CAMO

Can these screws be used w the new pressure treated lumber or do they react and corrode

Asked by: DIY1
The CAMO Hidden Deck Screws that are ProTech Coated feature our standard carbon coating and a 1500 hour salt spray. They can be used with pressure treated lumber in most environments. If you are installing your deck boards in a marine or coastal environment, we recommend you use the 316 Stainless Steel CAMO Hidden Deck Screws.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. For a 200 SF deck, the screws and the tool cost about $100. A lot less than other systems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Screw's There's not much to say about Screw's. These, though, do seem to be tough and sturdy. I haven't had any problems with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for composite decking I purchased the Camo Hidden Fastener System on-line as the store did not have it in stock. I am installing Trex Composite Decking. I got one board done (12 screws) and the driver bit stripped out. I used the second driver bit that came with the package and that stripped out before I even finished the second board. I can only assume that the Trex was to dense for the screws to go through thus the driver bits stripped out. The Protech screws I was using were 1-7/8" long. The Trex was 1" thick. Luckily, I was able to take everything back to a local Home Depot and get my money back. I would not suggest using the Protech for composite decking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware, pure junk I installed over 1000 sq ft of decking using the camo deck screws and used the camo marksman pro tool. After been installed for less than one month the screws started snapping in half. Now most of my decking is loose and needs to be removed and a proper fastener system used. I have tried to contact the company that makes them but they will not return phone calls or emails. Don't waste your money like I did.
