Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JG Right Product - Quality Results
I had an opportunity to help my son and his family move into their new home recently. We created a man cave with all the "bells" and elite audio equipment products. We used CE Tech 16 gauge stranded speaker wire to connect the sound systems. The results and quality of the project are outstanding. CE met all of our expectations. Job well done with a great product!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by tdwhite This is Aluminum wire NOT copper (copper clad aluminum)
This wire is aluminum strands covered with the thinest layer of copper. This is NOT copper wire. This is aluminum wire. As such, when stripping the wire the individual strands are brittle. Have had several twisted connections come apart as the wire is brittle and the bare ends break off. You can find actual OFC (oxygen free copper) wire online for this price from the place named after a jungle. This stuff is junk compared to actual copper wire. There is no comparison and I'll be returning this for a refund.
All I can say about all these other reviews of 5 stars is these people truly can't possibly know the difference between this stuff and actual good quality copper wire. If they did the ratings would be much different. It's not even close. For the most basic need of wire I suppose this might work, however for higher end home audio or car audio this is not what you want.

Most studies would show that you really don't need thicker wire than 16Ga. Now-a-days you get great sound wirelessly (sp). So this works well. No need to spend tons of money on wire.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spring Great Wire, Great Price!
I purchased this wire for my future surround sound system going into my home that I'm building. (See my video) The PVC did well being pulled through the rough holes drilled through the studs. I went with 16 awg over 18 awg for sound quality. I only wanted to do this once as it's being covered by sheetrock. It cuts easy with scissors (see the pic) and I installed low voltage boxes to run the wire to. To test the wire out we hooked a sub up and maxed it out, the wire barely got warm and the sub sounded great. Dont forget the wire clips.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by blopez1976 excellent for my surround sound
this speaker wire worked great for my home theatre, much better sound quality with this cable than with the small cable my system came with.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AZMark As good as it gets without seeking premium specialty brands
I've undertaken an audio rewiring project in a guest house with a giant (6-car) shop attached to it, and decided to standardize on CE Tech for the audio cable. I'm a many-decade user of high-end cabling because it's the backbone (or extending nerves at least) of the system. I have yet to find anything about this brand or the product that is inferior to higher end/specialty cabling. It routes nicely, cuts easily, is durable as 16ga comes, and I'm very pleased with it. I've done up to 50 foot runs with 16ga and haven't lost any noticeable quality or output over 18 gauge, and certainly no loss vs. 16ga of higher-priced competing brands. I'll check back in a year (of Arizona summer heat in the shop) and report if my opinion changes. So far, so good though.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Doc766 Good quality speaker wire that is easy to work
The 100 ft. roll of C E TECH 16-Guage Stranded Speaker Wire was a good choice for rewiring my living-room surround sound speakers to my new 5.1 channel receiver/amplifier. The small-gauge wires run by the previous homeowner were not heavy enough gauge to handle the higher wattage of the new sound system components. I chose the C E TECH wire because it is clearly marked for polarity and is easily worked with a pair of shop scissors and a set of wire strippers. The wire strips easily and is readily shaped to fit the screw terminals of the larger speakers I installed. I used my soldering iron to tin the very tips of the stripped wire ends to prevent fraying. The wire strands took the solder without excessive heating and the insulation did not melt away. By separating the twin wires with scissors and tying a knot at the desired length from the ends I was able to neatly connect both the speaker and amplifier terminals. The wire was easily spooled off of the roll, was easy to fit into the existing wire clips, and did not tend to kink or curl when being pulled. This wire is a good choice for home sound systems.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JRMitch My speakers work
I used this wire to power the speakers in my shop with approx. 100 watts ea. All my speakers are working and sound great even with 40 feet of wire between them and the stereo.
