CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk for one reason The knock outs are nearly impossible to remove. The first one I did on a bench and had to use a cold chisel and hammer to avoid messing up the box. After I got it installed and had some electronics in it, I determined I needed remove another knock out. I mean... one of the whole points is to use the knock outs! I wonder if anyone at Home Depot has ever tried to use it. If they did, I bet they went out and bought a competitor. Been at it for 10 minutes so far. I actually took a break to write this review I am so frustrated. Wanted to warn everyone away from this Home Depot piece of garbage. Will probably pull the electronics to get the knock out removed... but then I will probably just return it as defective. March 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good I think they must have gotten the memo on the knockouts. I had no problem knocking them out. I was able to install this in a closet very easily. I am very happy with my purahcse. July 16, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by On to the next one.. Like every other review.. THE KNOCK-OUTS are impossible to knockout. I only was able to do one of the big knockouts with hammer; by then you have already dented the box all up. forget about getting the rest of them out. Other than that box is sturdy. May 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Punch outs extremely hard to knock out The build of the box itself was nice has a heavy sturdy feel. The punch outs were impossible to knock out. I tore up the box trying to knock out the punch outs. It left a very rough edge. Would not recommend this product. I returned the product going to use the legrand version which I used in the past. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Knock outs were extremely difficult to use - impossible to remove without bending the chassis. The screw pattern was off for the electrical outlet in the bottom. I bought the CE Tech outlet kit from Home Depot, and the holes didn't quite line up, making installation extremely difficult and time consuming. Lastly, the screws included to secure the cover on the box will only work if the box is exactly flush with the wall; They are too short if your drywall is even slightly uneven. I've used Leviton in the past, and even though it is significantly more expensive, it's worth it. July 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality- Bad leviton knockoff As another reviewer noted, the knockouts are almost impossible to remove without damaging/ bending the housing. The outlet that is designed to fit this box has incorrectly spaced holes, so it will not attach correctly. So this box instead of taking 20 mins to install takes 1 hour (mostly to fix the outlet mount). Very disappointed! September 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just as advertised! Bought the box for rough-in of LV wiring system in our new home. Good sturdy quality with plenty of knock outs for conduit. Also installed the surge receptacle and had it wired in and ready for electronics later. January 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Instabilty in the wrong places. The knockout holes for cable passthrough had better integrity than the framing of the product. One corner broke apart after punching out a hole in the knockout section. January 27, 2015
