Use of this part is very simple:
To use this cover, drill a 2" diameter hole in the surface where cables, tubing, cords, or other equipment will pass through. Commonly, this is done with a drill with a hole saw bit attached.
Place the hole cover's outer ring into the hole. Pass the cable, conduit, etc., through the hole. Thread the cable through the cap's notch and place the cap in the ring. If the Read More

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price As others have said size is closer to 1 7/8" but no big deal. I used it to mount flat screen TV and cover hole for power and HDMI cables to TV through wall. Can't be seen unless you look behind TV but geeks are impressed I went to the trouble to cover the hole :) November 16, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No where near 2" base The base (part you put in the furniture hole) is much less than 2" in diameter. It is at most 1 7/8". Common hole saw blades (attach to a drill) in this range are 2", including what's available at HD. Instead of fitting snugly in a 2" hole, the cover has a huge amount of play. Much more than could be made up with electrical/duct tape for example. Sitting on the counter/desktop surface, the cover looks good, and the wide lip does cover the gap. In use, removing the cap to fish an electrical wire for example, will just pull the whole unit out of the furniture. If you have the ability to match a saw to the size of this grommet, then you'll be fine. Otherwise, expect a lot of movement in the finished installation. If you need to find a way to cut a <2" hole for this grommet, that needs to be stated on the packaging. May 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Decent and Neat product Fit and Finish are as promised. The set of holes saws I had did not have the "exact" size to accommodate this fitting but after using a saw to widen the hole it worked just fine. May 20, 2014
