My experience with HDMI cables is that they are not designed with input and output ends. There may be exceptions. but I tried the 25 ft. length both ways and it worked with out any noticeable problems.
Think of a drinking straw. It doesn't matter which end you put in the cup.
There is, by the way, a top and bottom to the each end.

Rated 1.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not very strong Bought this to run from my comcast xfinity cable box to my LCD TV. I buried it in the wall as the TV is above the fireplace. It seemed well made, its a very heavy weight/gauge plastic cable, but when I plugged it into the cable box there was a little torque from the cables thickness. After a day of being plugged in the cable stopped sending the signal. I see now the actual connection between the molded back of the plug and the gold plated plug itself are not very well connected and so the cable broke a the joint under the small amount of pressure. I can apply upward pressure to the back of the plug when it is plugged in but thats the only way it now works. Just not great. Especially for $50 when many of the cables online are under $25 and just and durable. Disappointed. February 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works in any direction This HDMI cable ran between a AV receiver and a HD TV. It worked out of the box. First I tried the TV with a pass-through signal from a cable box and then with the receiver handling the cable signal. Neither had any problems. No instructions were included. Then I switched the cable around, out of curiosity, and it worked again without problems. So the cable has no directionality, at least in my setup. The cable I bought has a thick black insulator, more like a power cord, as opposed to the product photo, which appears to be some sort of weave. I will not install this cable in a wall. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted 5 months This cable lasted 5 months. Plugged it in one night and it just didn't work. Tried another cable. No problem. It's rated as an "In Wall" cable. Good darn thing I didn't install it in a wall. November 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by appeared quality but no way to tell Cable may have been deluxe however we could not find out as it came with no instructions of how to use it or on which devices it was compatible. For general public some DIY guidelines would be helpful especially at this price point. March 11, 2014
