Customer Questions & Answers

I have already wired it through the wall backwards how can I get it to work without breaking the wall?

Asked by: Jd
It doesn't matter which direction you have it running, even though the packaging may say otherwise. I thought it was silly when I read that on the packaging too and had no problem with mine running the "wrong" way. You have just have a bad HDMI cable. Or, check your output/input ports. I had mine ran up my wall, across my ceiling and to my projector. So yes, I empathize your situation.

I have a broken connector

I have a broken connector, on a CE Deluxe High Speed HDMI cable that is already built into a wall. I do have a field replacement connector. However in order to install it correctly I need the colored wire assignments for each pin. Can you provide this information?
Asked by: Andy
Your best bet is to actually replace both ends, or just cut bait and use the existing as a pull wire for a new cable.

50 ft. Deluxe High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for a 50 ft. HDMI cable Could not believe Home depot had a 50 ft. HDMI cable in stock. Looked at all the normal electronic stores, and had to order and pay shipping. Had to have the cable for a presentation and Home Depot pulled me out of a jam. Cable is high quality and a great price for a 4k cable.

This cable is used in my system for running a projector in a theater room to a receiver in a run room. The first cable never worked and had to be replaced. Second cable worked for 3 months, and now no signal. Incredibly upsetting to have to go back up into my attic for a third cable placement, but I promise you it won't be this junk. I am going to go with a heavier insulated and well known company, probably Belkin which I have used in past builds with success in high heat/cold. I bought this one for convenience, and am kicking myself

Rated 1 out of 5 by from garbage I ran this cable through my wall and I have no signal on my TV. Home Depot should give me a refund and come replace this cable as it's going to take all a lot of time and money to fix

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Home depot should refund everyone's money This is simply a junk product. And I want my money back because I have to break the drywall and switch the cable around or buy different cord.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hey this cable is directional I just want people to beware that this cable is directional. it has a output side and input side. for the cost of the cable it is simply great for our needs. we use 2 cables to driver a couple of 70" monitors at the full 50' distance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from unreal UNREAL THAT THIS THING HAS A POLARITY!!! Works well when installed correctly. I hate them for not making this obvious...
Date published: 2016-04-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Make sure you observe the directionality of this cable This product is not just a cable; it has some kind of line driver chip, receiver chip or loading coils built into it and it does not work if you have it connected backwards. Otherwise it seems to work just fine.
