Customer Reviews

6 ft. Standard HDMI Cable with Ethernet is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from HDMI Cable I purchased the cable to use with my laptop and flat screen. Since I travel with the laptop, I have to disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable regularly. The cable broke at the terminal. It was obvious that the cable was not designed to be robust. The broken terminal appeared to be of basic design, i.e., meeting the most basic function of the cable without the consideration of normal wear and tear due to repeated use. For the price of the cable, I bought a more robust cable from Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POSITIVE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SPECS ON BOX AND TRUE CAPABILITIES Disclaimer: I purchased a 2 pack of 6 foot and 8 foot cables, not the single 6 foot cable. The product I purchased is also the "Standard" version, has the same description on the box, and the cable connectors and wire wrap look exactly the same. I assume they are the same product. I did test the 6 foot cable. Works for 1080p!!! No significant differences between the "standard", "Deluxe" and "Premium" versions of these cables. Read full review to see why. The package states it only works for 720p and 1080i (30 frames per second instead of the 60 frames per second available with 1080p). I can assure you that the data rate capabilities on this cable are sufficient for the 60 fps available with 1080p video sources. I've connected this to the graphics card on my computer and tested both the 1080i and 1080p settings using a site called TestUFO. The results show that the cable is capable of 1080p. The description of the product on the Home Depot website says that these cables are also capable of 3D and 4k signals. I have not tried either of these as I do not have a TV that is capable of displaying either of these. The package does not say anything about these capabilities. The bottom line: All HDMI cables are basically the same now. 1080i doesn't really exist anymore for displays, so manufacturers have no reason to keep separate stocks in their warehouses. They simply change the plastic connectors on the end and sometimes wrap the wires differently, but they cables do the same job. Based on the product description on the Home Depot website, these cables are capable of: 1080p, 3D and 4k signals. Home Depot also states that these cables support up to 10.2Gbps data rate. The box states that the cables have built in Ethernet (100 Mbps) as well. Based on these combined specs, it appears that this is a HDMI 1.4 cable. Check out the following page from the official HDMI organization website. Some reviews state that these cables do not have an audio return channel. This is not true, and in fact impossible. The official HDMI onganization website states that "All HDMI cables will support Audio Return Channel functionality when connected to Audio Return Channel-enabled devices." I can only assume that the display or device being connected to is were not configured properly, or the cable was defective for that customer. Hope this helped someone out. I was seriously considering spending $15 on a single "Deluxe" 6 foot cable from Home Depot because I was worried it would not support 1080p. Happy that I took the chance and actually tested it out and did some digging on the official HDMI organization site, and happy that I looked at the product description on the Home Depot site which describes broader device support than the box does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would have been great but.... I bought the HDMI cable for a friend to plug up her laptop to her TV so that she could watch whatever was on her laptop on her big screen TV but then confirmed that she already had an HDMI cable plugged from her TV to her cable TV set top box. I returned the product without opening.
