Customer Reviews

Category 5e Jack - White is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Cat5e Jacks These are pretty good Cat5e jacks. These jacks were easy to install (snaps on), and they fit perfectly in the matching CE Tech 2-port wall plates (bought separately), without any gaps around the jack. The included punch-down plastic tool works well and was very handy for making the wire connections. The included tool is essential, because I don't have any other punch-down tools at home (and I wasn't going to buy another tool, since I'm was only doing a one-time installation of seven Cat5e jacks in my home). The punched-down connections seem to be quite solid (certainly better than the "screw-on" terminal connections in other jacks). I've pulled on the punched-down wires and tested each jack with an Ethernet wire tester/tracer tool that checks each wire connection. Everything worked well. These are excellent Cat5e jacks at a good price point. I probably would buy these again if I ever need to wire a friend's house.

It worked smoothly for a month and then I started experiencing dropped signals to my security cameras. After I unplugged and replugged, it worked fine. After the second month, one jack stopped worked altogether. I've replaced these jacks with less expensive reputable CAT6 keystone jacks from somewhere else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Budget Friendly This is a good choice if you want decent connectivity for a fair price and you are on a budget. We normally use Leviton, but this works if you do not need that level of product. We have use this product for some time and have only had two failures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from decent quality, good price Had to replace 2 networks drops for a customer and had no jacks on me. The jacks I bought did not come with the plastic tool...which is a good thing as that would be a waste of money and make more garbage/recycling. A proper 110 punch tool is recommended. Like most keystone jacks I've used requiring a punch tool, hand fatigue will be a problem after many punch downs. The packaging, or atleast the 10 pack's packaging should have better instructions for tool requirements. The only thing currently mentioned is the jack's ability to fit keystone wallplates.
