This HDMI pass through is what I would expect. I cannot tell a picture quality difference. The pass through fits snugly in the outlet cover.

recently moved the TV over the fireplace and wanted the clean look. had first tried the angled HDMI inserts from somewhere else and they did not work and crowded the faceplate to the point i could not get much else on there. These took up much less space in the back. arranged them in one vertical column and have plenty of space for coax and Cat6 on the same plate. Found the connectors to be very tight -- had to use some force to insert and remove the HDMI cables to the point that i did break the back cover off of one of these, but it snapped back on and seems to still be working fine.

Got these for a flush finish and basically no other option. Broke one after a few tries going in and out. Best bet is to not fiddle with it too much. Also theres some quality loss when comparing with a direct connect. Not sure why theyre charging $9 a pop for these, taking advantage of ones situation. I would look for other options. Home depot needs to add other options, not competitive at all when only pushing this CE brand. Hope to see other brands on your shelves. Otherwise they will get $9 for a $1 clip.

I bought two of these and one works beautifully. the second one makes the picture a little duller (not full hi-def). Thought maybe it was the cord I pulled through the wall, but tested the cord and it was the HDMI insert causing the dullness.

I used this to expand on my HTPC. I connected my HTPC to my media closet and added in-wall cable. I wanted there to be a clean look so I went with this product. It works, but the connection easily bends with a sturdy HDMI cable. I ended up having to buy a new one because I broke the first one, and at $7 a pop, you want to avoid that. Other than that, it works fine, outputs 1080p and 7.1 lossless surround from my PC to receiver/HDTV.
