I did not specifically observe the CL stamp, but the power cord appears to be romex and suitably sheathed. The cord gets strapped to the included flex conduit.

We checked on that with our Compiance Manager. He replied that CL rating is an in wall rating for low voltage cables. The power cable in the wall of the CMK70 is NM cable, which is NEC code compliant to be inside the wall.

Can I use this product if my TV is mounted to the wall in one place, say in the middle of the room over the fireplace. I want to hide the cords and bring them to the left corner of the room; is it easy to do this or is it only feasible if the cords are going up and down from the tv?

Answer:
There has to be no blockage. Meaning if there is any wood and there should Vertical studs every 16 " I believe. And over a fire place there will/should be brick. When I did mine I was originally going to push through the wall to the room sharing the wall and bring it through the same wall at a different height.
I hope this makes sense and is helpful.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed I walked into home depot without any idea about what solutions they had to offer for hiding cords in the wall. After determining I didn't want the white over-the-wall cord covers, I decided to get this. I watched the video on how to install it while still sitting in the aisle. The video looked easy enough, so I took it home and installed it within a matter of 20 minutes. I did need an extra set of hands to attach the bottom connector while still holding the top connector so that it wouldn't fall into the hole, but other than that it was a one man job. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks easier in the video. I purchased two but I was apprehensive cutting big holes in the walls but just took my time and everything turned out fine. After completing the first install second install was easier. I also watched the video a couple of times which was very helpful. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sooo Easy ! This product is AWESOME and so simple to install. I'm a 51 year old female with what I would consider average "handy" capabilities. I installed this in exactly 1 hour. No sweat. I strongly recommend watching the video link provided as well as using the written directions included in the box. Reading the instructions for each step then watching the step performed in the video make things perfectly clear. January 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Product OK, directions not so much I had to cut the low voltage tube between the upper and lower holes, I understood the directions, even watched the youtube video and measured carefully. When I made the cut the tube was too long. Getting the tube to separate from the bottom outlet to shorten it was just about impossible, if I had cut the tube any shorter it would have been impossible because it would have been too far inside the wall. A better way to determine how long the tube should be cut is to measure from the bottom of the top hole to the top of the bottom hole, subtract about 1/4 in and cut the tube to this length. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Missing Parts Purchased two of these, two seperate times, because each package had parts missing. First package had the hole saw missing, second package was missing the face plates. This kit looked like it had a ton of potential, but I am not willing to be let down for a third time. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. Worked awesome for me. Will be buying more for my other TV's. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Kit!!! This kit was simple to install and looks great. no cons that I could think of. I will be buying more. October 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by never again... two of my boxes didn't have any instructions in them. and the third box was a different model. so i was flying blind with the first two that i did. not too happy about that. May 31, 2016
