Answer:
I did not specifically observe the CL stamp, but the power cord appears to be romex and suitably sheathed. The cord gets strapped to the included flex conduit.

It's ROMEX cable that runs behind the wall, so there should be no problem with rating.

Answer:
We checked on that with our Compiance Manager. He replied that CL rating is an in wall rating for low voltage cables. The power cable in the wall of the CMK70 is NM cable, which is NEC code compliant to be inside the wall.

I doubt it; I bought a 1-ft 3-prong extension cord bundle (5-pack) from amazon for about $10 bucks, and I never knew how much I needed them around the house, lol.

Answer:
IDK about your plug specifically. My Samsung has an oval shaped plug that would not fit. IMO, only a "typical" straight in plug will work. I used a plug strip and rested it on the TV mount.

Answer:
Yes, it's safe. You may want to go with the air-tight system to maintain your insulation rating as high as possible (but it's slightly more demanding as far as maneuvering).

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 80 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sooo Easy ! This product is AWESOME and so simple to install. I'm a 51 year old female with what I would consider average "handy" capabilities. I installed this in exactly 1 hour. No sweat. I strongly recommend watching the video link provided as well as using the written directions included in the box. Reading the instructions for each step then watching the step performed in the video make things perfectly clear. January 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor design overly complicated. Has too many pieces and poor instructions. Took hours to finish the job. May 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cheaper than the one at Best Buy but also more complicated. From the video it seems there are two versions; one oval and the other round. Fortunately my local Home Depot had the round one so only one top hole and one bottom hole is needed. The main distinction on these vs the ones at bestbuy is the conduit for HDMI cords etc. The ones at bestbuy assume you have in-wall rated cords and this one assumes you do not. (if the cords are not in-wall rated then they must be in conduit to be legal) If you HAVE inwall rated cords you don't need to use the conduit. PS Dont even think about putting an extension power cord in the wall. It is illegal and a fire hazard that could void your insurance. March 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Kit!!! This kit was simple to install and looks great. no cons that I could think of. I will be buying more. October 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best thing since they thought of slicing the bread before packaging it! Whenever I am up visiting my son and his family, I tend to bring a few tools to help with his own Honey-do-list. We needed to hang his large flat screen and wires showing could not be an option! No problem! I've been there and done that since I'm retired Electrician and Chief Engineer. When my son pulled this kit out I felt he wasted his money, actually felt a little insulted, then 20 minutes later I was sold! Smooth and easy, fishing rods were able to get past the insulation bats with no problem. Just have a shop vac with a fine dust filter, and place the nozzle, or floor attachment under the hole saw to catch sheet rock dust when cutting out the two holes. BTW my son was just trying to save dear old dad some sweat! and did. March 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In-wall power cord and cable kit Thanks to this kit the wires from my television no longer show. It is a great product. I hired a handyman to install it; he did not seem to have any problems. April 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product Worked great and tube is very easy to cut if it needs to be altered. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love it follow the rules, measure twice, cut once, worked perfectly and no wires........... April 3, 2016
