Answer:
Hi Moe9090,
Yes, you may install this cable plate if there is insulation in the wall, in most cases, the insulation can be rearranged or compressed to allow the plate to fit.

Very good product, the item has a template to draw around and then cut out the right sized hole in the drywall. And then you just slot the cables through the plug and put it in the wall and tighten the screws. Easy peasy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for Easiest, neatest, and cheapest way to hide cables for a mounted TV

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheaply made The concept of these recess plates is a great idea and an excellent way to save money on a DIY project. The integrated mounting wings are made of extremely CHEAP plastic. I had to remove mounting wings off regular electrical conduit boxes to replace the ones that come with the recessed plates because as you tighten them down, they warp, disfigure and even break in pieces. Research other products before purchasing these. I'm sure other electrical/electronic companies make a much more durable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for multiple wires through walls I purchased this to make a better-looking job of my surveillance camera installation. Used this plate where my 4 (could easily have been more) camera video/power wires came out of the wall and went to the DVR. EASY to install, and looks great! All you do is cut the hole in the drywall, fish your wires through and set this unit into the hole. Turn the screws to secure it. Easy-peasy.
