Yes it does. Just make sure you locate studs to mount it too. Most mollies will not be strong enough to hold a tv. I mean they might for a while but still not a good situation

Not all. I just purchased and it does not have the hardware needed to connect to a smaller TV (27") and Home Depot doesn't carry the right type, so I am searching online or returning the mount.

Because it is close to the wall it won't tilt much until the bottom of the tv hits the wall. I'm guessing 20 degrees max.

The mount tilts downward about 15 degrees. I mounted mine so the top of my tv would look level with the top of a 80" (standard) door frame and aimed it down toward my bed to watch movies and it's about like looking straight at the screen.

Answer:
It tilts up about 4 degrees and down 15 degrees, but if the cable connections on your TV are mounted low on the back of set they hit the wall first limiting the tilt to only about 9 degrees downward. It is compact holding the TV only three and one half inches from wall.

Answer:
Of course you can. As long as you find the studs. I would mount this by using drywall screws with washers that are bigger than the holes on the mount itself. If Im not mistaken the hardware includes several sizes of washers so just get drywall screws go 2' or bigger on the screw length.

I would recommend not, the kit comes with (6) 3" or 3.5" screws and "molly" style insert (just under the width of a 2x4 stud) just for mounting the backing plate to the wall. A 50" tv has quite a bit of weight to manage when you do a horizontal hang style mount I don't believe the 2x2 studs would hold or at least very long if it were bumped accidentally.

The max. weight this is made to hold is 90 lbs. For 2x2 mounting you will need shorter screws, the ones included are about 3 inches long.

Hi Boyerdaniel94,
I installed two of these wall mounts on two different TVs this weekend. My LED TV is much lighter than my plasma TV, so the overall weight will make a difference.
2X2 studs are not suitable to attach this mount.
The screws that are supplied with the mount are 3'' long. they require a 3'' deep pilot hole to be drilled with a 5/16'' drill bit.
2X2 lumber is actually 11/2''X11/2'', so nearly half of the mounting screws will protrude through the stud and will reduce the holding strength. Smaller studs are also more likely to split, further reducing their strength.
I can't recommend mounting onto 2X2 studs using the supplied hardware.
5/16ths inch bolts that are secured with washers and nuts on the other side of the stud could hold the mount, but that hardware is not supplied with this TV mount.
Thank you for asking,
-Travis Read Less

Answer:
The short answer is no. Most mollies will not support the weight of a tv for very long if at all. If you are in a standard house you should have studs every 16" in your wall. The bracket mounts do not need to be centered with the tv, they can be off center

You can mount anything anywhere by using the proper anchors. In your case I would purchase the toggle set from Home Depot its 6 blue phillip head screws with anchors( toggle straps with screws) is the proper name. Use these and your tv will be safely secured to the wall.

It can be mounted on drywall if you screw through and hit a stud. The included screws are 3 inches long and about 1/4" dia. If you want to mount only to drywall I suggest you get some different mounting screws for that at home depot.

Answer:
Yes, the mount comes with heavy duty anchors that can be used on drywall. There is also a guide as to how large/heavy you can hang with the mount and anchors. Another consideration is, because of the way the mount is designed, you have a wide variance of where the studs can be for mounting. It's possible you can attach to studs and still position the TV where you'd like.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great low-cost mount Used this to mount a 42" LCD (very light) and 60" Plasma (very heavy) TV. Lots of hardware included (drywall anchors, stud bolts, spacers, various size TV bolts) but may not fit ALL circumstances, such as TVs with curved backs with long spacers (may need longer bolts). Overall, great product for the price point. The tilt is enough for those who want to mount higher than eye level. Sturdy design. September 20, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed No frills, good design and does the job. Includes a good variety of necessary t.v. and wall mounting hardware. Recommend pre-snugging/tightening tilt hardware before hanging since access is limited when t.v. is hung. March 1, 2016
