Product Overview

COMBAT Max Roach Killing Gel formula attracts roaches with the food and water they need. This roach-killing gel starts killing both large and small roaches within a matter of hours. Apply this gel behind appliances and in cracks and crevices where roaches make their nests or enter your home. Because COMBAT Max Roach Killing Gel allows you to place baits throughout your home, more roaches can find and eat the bait, resulting in a quicker and more thorough kill.

  • Gel contains fipronil, one of the fastest acting roach-killing ingredients in the market
  • Can be used both indoors and outdoors (adjacent to home or structure)
  • COMBAT gels have a high secondary nest kill - eliminating the source of the infestation
  • Syringe applicator allows gel to be used in hard-to-reach cracks and crevices
  • Insect nerve poison kills roaches by contact or ingestion.

Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work on tiny black ants?

Asked by: Bert
This product does work on ants however the "attractant" or bait that makes this product appealing to roaches is not the same as ants. In short while this product does kill ants it would be better to use an ant specific bait or gel due to the attractant used.

what is % of Fipronil?

Asked by: JDjr
Fipronil is a broad-spectrum insecticide that disrupts the insect central nervous system by blocking GABA-gated chloride channels, resulting in central nervous system toxicity. there are several brand out there as long they have this active ingredient you are good.

60 g Source Kill Max Roach Kill Gel is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from how to use this stuff Save your beer bottle caps! Squirt a bit into the bottle cap and place near sink and other places you have seen those large Florida cockroaches. Near the sink and in drawers are good places. I places 13 bottles caps with this poison in various places. You will be appalled to see it get eaten and disappear on their major pathways. In some places the poison was not eaten much. I guess I saw a roach there but it was not one of their favorite spots. This stuff kills them!! Refrigerate the tube so it lasts longer. By using bottle caps you are creating your own roach motels where they check in but don't check out...and a lot cheaper. I suppose you can use the caps off of soda bottles too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more roaches Just the other day, I was speaking with the pest control man who was back again to spray my apartment. I asked him what was good to kill these roaches? He mentioned this Combat Gel at Home Depot. Let me say, "No more roaches". It has been three days, and we haven't seen a roach. I do recommend this product for killing roaches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Use Best use for my purposes for a tube gel: I cut a small square of index card stock/poster stock, 5/8" to 3/8". Put a small squirt in the middle. Place in corners of cabinets, wherever I think they may be needed. It is not necessary at all to lay long lines. To apply directly to surfaces is a mess. Why would anyone want to do that? Oh yeah. You are advised to. You can make a simple bait that gets the job done just as well and is a lot cleaner. Laying lines uses up a lot more than is necessary. And you have to buy More Of It. Direct application to home surfaces makes a mess of things. The point is to have something enticing that is poisonous to the critters. The bait method I detailed works like a champ. It is all that is needed. I also lay down a cypermethrin perimeter spray. I DO NOT put the baits down where I have sprayed. They are put in places I haven't. The only roaches that come in do so right before a rain. That would be American Cockroaches, the very large brown ones, that live in the ground by the oaks and find their way in because they know it is going to storm and they are going to get flooded. When I see these rain runners they are either already dead or on their backs dying. And I also know for sure that we are about to get a good rain soaking. These roaches don't live in the house. No more house German cockroaches. At all. The place was infested when we bought it. Now you know how to get the most out of a tube gel without the mess. And how to keep your home roach-free (perimeter spray as needed). I know when it is time to spray again when I see a live rain runner roach.... one that is not dead or dying. The spray is effective for anything between 1 and 3 years. I have a container of cypermethrin powder because I spray outside annually with a battery operated large container sprayer hooked into a riding lawn mower. Just put some powder in an inside use pump sprayer and have at it. Conversely one could buy packets of Demon. Same stuff. One packet per gallon of water. Packets dissolve in the sprayer water. Just thought to share tips and technique, some of which info was generously provided by a pro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kill'em all! I never had cockroaches before so I was not sure how to get rid of them. I looked on the Home Depot page and found this stuff. I read a lot of good reviews here on Amazon, so I figured I would give it a try. I applied some around the fridge, stove and corners of my kitchen. As soon as I put it down, those little b*stards started going to town on it like someone rang a dinner bell. The first day I found two dead roaches, and the second day I found about ten. The third night I seen many more either dead or on their backs twitching. I am taking great enjoyment watching these nasty little bugs suffer. I still have a few babies running around, but I am sure they will meet their maker as well. all in all, this is a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I made this purchase after finding roach droppings in my cupboards with my food. I figured they must be coming in through the back where there were gaps. I lined the perimeter of my cupboards with this, and it has stopped the roaches. It looks a little gross, but it beats the alternative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective Product With the recent hot months and draught we have been having in SoCal, we saw those large "sewer" roaches roaming into our house at times and at least 3 that hang inside and around our stone facade mailbox every night. I tried the Hot Shot Boric Acid I had on hand, spray the powder all over the cracks of the mailbox and waited 2-3 days. Those roaches were still hanging around looking pretty healthy. Then I went online to research other products reviews and came across this Gel. I don't know why I have never notices this product before. I purchased the product in store and went out with my husband during the evening to apply this brown gel, while the roaches were out and about. The one roach actually hide while I was applying it but had his antennas out waiting (I HATE roaches, but I was determined to get rid of them). As soon as I finished the dime size application, I literally watched this roach come straight out and started eating this gel. My first time watching a roach eat. I thought it would just take a sample, but it literally finished the entire dime size gel. My husband said, "well it works", which is a pretty direct point stating that the biggest challenge with pesticides is having the pests take the bait, which it absolutely did. I continue applying more dabs, and the second roach came out and started eating it and the first one continued, as if it was a huge free for all buffet. It has been a few weeks now and I go out at night to check from time to time. I have yet to see one so far. Yeah, what a relief. The product says the pesticide gets back to their nest and kill the rest. I have never come across a product for roaches that works so well so I told myself I had to write this review. BTW, the gel is colored brown I guess so you can spot it. The ones that went uneaten did not disappear but just dried up. I guess if it bothered me, I will have to go with a long toothpick and remove them later. I ended up also buying those gel sticks with sticky pads on the back which I think has the same exact product for sticking onto my outside garbage cans without the mess. The drawback is the product is exposed, so if you have kids or pets, this may be an issue. Bottom line: EFFECTIVE PRODUCT.
