I'm not sure what kind of cabinets they are, we just bought the house and want to make everything look better without spending money on all new cabinets, have to wait a while for that. The home is a mobile home double wide.

No. But you could probably use a poly on top if you wanted.

I have kitchen cabinets with laminate cabinet case and oak drawer fronts and door fronts. I am looking for a product that will adhere to the laminate components as a primer and then paint over with a custom tinted satin enamel paint.

I just used the remainder of what I had of this to prime a mirror frame and it allowed other paint (also white) to adhere fine.

1 qt. White Satin Trim and Cabinet Enamel is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen looks new again I bought a foreclosed home not too long ago. The company that had rehabbed the house had painted the cabinets dark brown. The paint they used scuffed even if you touched the drawer or the cabinet. I researched a lot of paints and this one seemed to have the best reviews. I ordered two gallons. I had to do three coats since the original paint was so dark. Paint covers well and levels beautifully. It dried fairly fast, I was painting the cabinet doors in my garage on one of the muggiest days of the year, so that probably didn't help either. Three coats on 26 cabinet doors, 7 drawers and other visible parts of the cabinet took only one gallon. I actually returned the other gallon back to home depot. The kitchen looks much vibrant and cabinets look much more presentable. My boss is about to paint his kitchen cabinets and after seeing my cabinets, he is talking about buying this same paint. Would definitely highly recommend to anybody.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crisp white paint Cabinet coat applied smoothly, but did see some brush marks which I don't like. Next coat was rolled on with foam roller. Very pleased with results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cabinet paint I used this paint to paint over combination wood /veneer cabinets which were stained black. I did several coats of primer and I also did several coats of the paint since the paint is thin. I used a power sprayer and the finished product looks very professional. I am very pleased with the results. I did not find the paint difficult to use at all. I was very surprised how much coverage I got out of a quart. I purchased 3 qts altogether and still had some left over

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This paint is awesome. It goes on like silk. Dries fast and the finish is beautiful. The cabinets we refinished were in horrible shape. This paint brought them back to life. Only complaint is that Home Depot doesn't carry it in the store. You have to order it online. It delayed my job a week. Please start selling it in your stores so I will use it again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff This stuff is awesome, the self leveling is next to none so it goes on smooth, durable and isn't tacky like latex paint. After heavy cleaning with krud kutter, two coats of oil based primer and two coats of this and my cabinets went from an old dark oak look to looking band new. Not sure why it isn't sold in store, which is the only drawback. FYI: don't waste your time with the rustolem white cabinet coat system if you have dark cabinets. It will always show through it. Plus this way was a lot cheaper

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little goes a long way I bought a quart to paint our bathroom vanity and wall cabinet. I used a foam roller, which left a speckled texture on the surface, but it doesn't look bad. I have 1/2 a can of paint leftover after putting 3 coats on each piece. This worked great for updating our bathroom without replacing the vanity, and it wipes clean without the paint coming off. Definitely recommend for a cheaper way to revamp your cabinets. (Vanity is pressed wood, cabinet is some type of plastic material, no issues with paint sticking. The only prep work we did was cleaning the surface with a degreaser. No sanding or priming)

Much better on the 1st coat than expected, probably didn't need the 2nd coat but since I had plenty left I put it on anyway. Using a good brush it almost looks like it was sprayed on. Will definitely use it again if the job comes up.
