Would this be ok in a bathroom? What might be a problem if there was water in/around the unit?

Asked by: Jen
Hello Jen, thank you for your question! We recommend any of our heaters be placed 2 feet from a shower so that water is not able to get onto the unit. We would also recommend running the unit during a shower to prevent any type of rust from moisture. This heater will work in a bathroom, you will need to confirm you do have 120 voltage and keep a foot clearance in front/above the heater and 6 inches on both sides of the heater.

For a 130 sq ft room is 1 of these sufficient?

Asked by: Suzi12
Thank you for your question. As a rule of thumb we recommend 6-10 watts per square foot so this heater would heat between 100 and 166 square feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed small baseboard heater We needed a small baseboard heater for our newly remodeled bathroom and was unable to find one at our location. Home depot web site made it easy to find what we wanted. The heater is styled very nicely and puts out the amount of heat we needed to warm our bathroom. Very satisfied with the heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice item Excellent product for a small space. Looks good and was easy to install. Like the fact that you can control temperature with a thermostat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable electric heat The Cadet baseboard electric heaters and matching thermostats have been working reliably for a year. The 1000 watt unit, being the longest, is a little bit more vulnerable to shipping damage than the shorter ones, but that hasn't actually been a problem. There are knockouts on the back and both ends; the ones on the ends are more difficult to remove. Be prepared to provide strain relief, wire nuts, and (of course) connection to an electrical system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small cold space My wife's walk in closet was unheated & she has been complaining about it & calling it "Going in to the Arctic" when she wanted cloths. This heater was perfect for that small space. We also had an unheated sitting room off our bedrm that I installed one in. Again, perfect for a 5-6x8' room. They were also packed very well & did not suffer any shipping dents or dings. Happy wife, happy home!!! Thanks Home Depot! Patrick Dagsboro, DE
