Will this work with a smart thermostat that requires a C wire?

Many smart thermostats require a C wire to provide power to the thermostat in addition to the R and W wires to control the heater (or relay in this case). I didn't see where this product has that capability.

The 5 KW 240 volt relay will work with most wifi thermostats, but it would be best to contact the manufacturer of the wifi thermostat you plan on using for further technical and wiring questions.
Most remote wifi thermostats, such as the Nest, are low voltage controls and require a relay to convert the low voltage wifi thermostat to a line voltage thermostat. In most Read More

The 5 KW 240 volt relay will work with most wifi thermostats, but it would be best to contact the manufacturer of the wifi thermostat you plan on using for further technical and wiring questions.
Most remote wifi thermostats, such as the Nest, are low voltage controls and require a relay to convert the low voltage wifi thermostat to a line voltage thermostat. In most cases you will need one controller per heater. So it can get complicated and expensive to control our heaters this way. This technology is still evolving with line voltage controls and unfortunately we do not have a remote thermostat at this time. If you went this route, the manufacturer of the controller would have the best instructions on installation. Read Less

This relay will work with 50 or 60 Hz, however if the relay is being used with Cadet products they are only rated for 60 Hz.

The relay will not fit inside the SoftHeat hydronic baseboard heater or any Cadet baseboard heaters. There is not enough spacing inside the baseboard heaters for the relay to fit inside.
