Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quite and easy to put in I just gutted an old home and installed the Cadet baseboard heaters. I used the 72" and 36 ". I used both this thermostat that goes on the heater and the wall thermostat. The are working great and are very quiet. I put them in one of my apartments earlier this year and my tenants and I are both happy with them. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by looks great, works well Bought 5 of these to replace the original 1970s baseboard heaters in condo. They look so much better and probably worth the purchase for that alone. But also heat evenly and were relatively easy to install. Bedroom is now much more evenly heated. With eletric thermostats (review elsewhere) the room does not get too hot. Recommended to neighbor renovating his condo. We returned two as we decided we didn't need them at this time, but will likely repurchase next winter. January 22, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job quite well After having bought (and returned) a portable heater a few years ago, I was somewhat skeptical about electric heaters. This one does the job in the 19 x 17 foot bedroom. It gets the room from 56 to 68 degrees in roughly 40 minutes. Great quality, too. The mounting holes spaced at 1 inch intervals made securing it to the studs easy. May 8, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet/Easy to Install This is the second time I've purchased this heater and it's quality is great for the price. It's exactly as advertised, easy to install, fairly quiet, and looks good. There is a low thudding noise when the heat first turns on but it's pretty low and doesn't wake my kids up like other heaters I've had. All in all it's a great product. July 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy. A deal at twice the cost. Couldn't be happier. Purchased this to replace a 30 year old, seven foot, 2000 watt baseboard heater. This six foot, 1500 watt unit actually heats much better, so A+ for improved efficiency. Be aware that when you first power this sucker up it will make some pretty nasty smells, but the installation instructions say this is normal and the smells dissipate pretty quickly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great!! I bought this one to replace one that I bought at Lowes that didn't seem like it was working properly. This heater puts out twice as much heat as the one I replaced it with. It is made at alot higher quality than the others and was easier to install also. February 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great! My son's bedroom and my office both 11x14 were always very cold. I thought about replacing the windows until I saw a circular with this baseboard heater. I purchased two of them with thermostats for each room. It took my electrician and a helper 2 hours to install and I must admit I am very happy with them. The rooms are now very toasty. The heater came right on time for this winter. I would recommend it to anyone looking to heat up a small to medium size room January 22, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Electric baseboard heaters This winter I converted my Florida home from oil heat to electric baseboard heaters in each room using the Cadet 1500 and 1000 Watt units controled by the Cadet/ Honeywell thermostat. It works as advertised and uses 5KW to heat my well insulated 1200 square feet. I chose this over a heat pump for simplicity, installing it myself, and better cost against the more limited life of a heat pump. The electricity costs just for heating for this winter were $130. Since resistance heaters have a very long life compared to other heat sources I expect in a climate with only slight demands on a heater, this will be useful long after other systems are replaced. The only moving part, the thermostat whch switches the full load can be repolaced in ten minutes and is reasonable. February 19, 2011
