Thanks for your interest in the Cadet Com-Pak heater. When deciding the amount of heaters you can install on a circuit, you must consider the voltage and amperage of the circuit. A 240 Volt circuit will allow you to place more Watts than a 120 Volt circuit. A 30 Amp circuit will allow you to place more watts than a 15 Amp circuit. This means that if you have a 240 Volt circuit with 30 Amp breaker, you will be able to put the most heaters on a circuit, but if you have a 120 Volt circuit with 15 Amp breaker, you will be able to put the least amount of heaters on the circuit.
Now, lets talk about the specific heater you mentioned, the Cadet 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus heater. Below I will list the number of 1500 Watt heaters that will you will be able to install on a circuit:
240 Volt Circuit:
At 30 Amps: 3 - 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heaters
At 20 Amps: 2 - 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heaters
At 15 Amps: 1 - 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heater
120 Volt Circuit:
At 30 Amps: 2 - 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heaters
At 20 Amps: 1 - 1500 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heater
At 15 Amps: 0 - (You will need to use a 1000 Watt Com-Pak Plus Heater)

Hi and thanks so much for asking! The answer is yes to both questions. For the high/low switch, the unit comes equipped with a built-in thermostat. The temperature range is 40 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and the thermostat controls the amount of time the unit is operating to reach your desired temperature. If the knob is turned counterclockwise to its lowest position, the thermostat will keep your room Read More

And the Com-Pak Plus style heaters are made to install into a 2x4 stud wall. We've included a link to an installation video that walks you through the installation. This particular model mounts to one side of the stud cavity. Thanks again for asking! Read Less

Hi Jeannie,
Cadet heaters work great in conjunction with a central heating system because they allow you to better control your comfort level of the room that you’re in without having to raise the temperature of the whole house.
For your 15x20 room, a good rule of thumb is about 6-10 watts per square foot so our Com-Pak 2000 watt heater is a great option. This heater does come with its own thermostat Read More
