The CS072 750 watt 240 volt heater is the replacement for the FW752 heater. Please see the link below.

You will also need to purchase an adapter kit so that the replacement heater will fit into your current wall can. The adapter kit is the FWAP.

It sparked, and now only blows cold air. Does that mean the element is out? Can't afford to call the electrician, any suggestions?

You can first start by trying to clean the heater. We recommend cleaning the heater at least every 6 months. For instructions on cleaning the heater please see Operating Instructions on page 5 of the Owner's Manual using the link below.

If cleaning the heater does not work then you may need to replace the heater. The CS202 is the direct replacement for the X222. You will not need a new wall can or grill. If you want to replace your grill for a new clean look they can be purchased separately. Please see the link below.

Is the complete Com-Pak model CS202 (2000-Watt 240-Volt Fan-Forced Wall Heater, no thermostat) available from the Home Depot or does it have to be ordered a la carte? i.e. heater assembly + box + grill.

When you get this in your hands it weighs a few ounces, it's a mass produced metal box with a heating element and a fan. I feel like Home Depot should be finding cheaper competitors for this product, frankly not carry it because of unfair pricing. Just my opinion.
