A better option for your application would be the RCP402S 4,000 watt garage heater. This heater will be more efficient for heating your garage and provide an ample amount of heat.

Hi and thanks so much for asking! The answer is yes to both questions. For the high/low switch, the unit comes equipped with a built-in thermostat. The temperature range is 40 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and the thermostat controls the amount of time the unit is operating to reach your desired temperature. If the knob is turned counterclockwise to its lowest position, the thermostat will keep your room Read More

The temperature range is 40 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and the thermostat controls the amount of time the unit is operating to reach your desired temperature. If the knob is turned counterclockwise to its lowest position, the thermostat will keep your room within about 5 degrees of the 40 degree low setting. And the Com-Pak Twin Plus style heaters are made to install into a 2x4 stud wall with 16" on center studs. We've included a link to an installation video that walks you through the project. Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product I purchased this heater to heat the finished portion of my basement. My finished portion is approx 430 sq ft. The install was very easy (with some wiring background). This heater does the job and very quickly. Highly recommended. I need to mention the amazing customer support from Cadet. December 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick and quiet Replaced an old rattling heater with this one, and could not be more pleased. The Com-Pak 3,000 Watt unit puts out a lot of heat, and is whisper quiet. Recommended. December 9, 2014
