The TH114 electronic non-programmable thermostat has a backlit display that illuminates for five seconds when the backlight display button is pressed. It illuminates for ten seconds when the UP or DOWN temperature buttons are pressed. It's designed to help you see easily check the temperature or see it when you are adjusting, but not be constantly lit and too bright in a bedroom.

The double pole non-programmable wall thermostat is listed as 16 amp. I have a 10 amp circuit breaker I plan to use for this wall heater and thermostat. Do I need to upgrade the circuit breaker? If so what should I upgrade it to?

first you need to know if your hater runs off a 115v or 240v,
and if its a 240v , it should be fine , as long as your heater is currently connected to the 10amp breaker your referring on your question.

Answer:
Only need to upgrade your wiring and breaker if your baseboard heater draws more amperage than the breaker and wiring are capable of handling. Your wiring should be rated at least 125% of your load on a resistive circuit (baseboard heat).

Thank you for your question.
The TH114 electronic non-programmable thermostat would be a great option for the Cadet 1000 watt 240 volt baseboard heater.
When choosing a thermostat keep in mind that it needs to rated for the same voltage as the heater and the amperage of the baseboard cannot exceed the amp rating of the thermostat. The amperage of a 1000 watt 240 volt baseboard is 4.2 amps and the amp Read More

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throw away the Bi-metal and switch to new excitement! I'm the first for reviewing this thermostat and I can't say enough about this great product. I decided to take the plunge and ditch my Bi-metal knob based thermostat that controls a single compact plus wall heater in every bedroom of my house and I went with these gorgeous all electronic based thermostats and they have blown away all my expectations! I installed these in 2014 and they have performed flawlessly and are also excellent at regulating the temperature closer to your desired setting than Bi-metal which saves money every month. The design is so much more modern looking with a large display and built in light and with its nice controls it was well worth the money to me to install these in my 3 bedroom house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, updated look. Good product. Warranted by Honeywell although it doesn't tell you that it's a Honeywell product until you read the owners manual. Only knock is shipping lead time. You'd think HD would have a distribution center to move product faster, over a week almost 2. I was OK because I was replacing a 40 Year old mechanical Tstat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sent wrong product I bought a pair online and it only took 2 days to arrive. They sent me 2 120v thermostats. Very disappointed. I'm sure it was a good quality product. Three stars because of the wrong product model that was sent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install, works like a charm When we finished our basement the contractor install the Honeywell manual thermostat (Model CT410B) to control our baseboard heat. It basically does nothing, it doesn't turn the heat off when it meets temperature. It just turns the heat to low, medium or high and lets it run. So we ordered this one to replace it, couldn't be happier. Install took 10 minutes, the display is easy to understand and the temperature seems very accurate. It does have an on/off switch so you can turn the heaters completely off which is a nice feature. It also lets you know how high the heat is currently with a 1-5 flame rating. Couldn't be any happier, would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for baseboard thermostat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as expected I bought this for my electric baseboard heaters to replace the old looking dial controls. Looks much better. The only confusing thing is the 4 wire vs 2 wire stuff (I didn't install just bought them). It seems like there would be more products like this at HD but there are very few.
Date published: 2016-05-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to install and use. looks good It arrived on time. I used it to replace an old cadet thermostat. It looks good and is easy to use. It only took 12 min to install. If its a new install remember to use #12/3 wire and 20 amp breaker. look at the installation drawing very close, because the wiring on the thermostat is a little unconventional.
