Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by low end Cabot thermostat for Cabot baseboard heater We could not get this thermostat to work. When I went to the closest building or home improvement store, a Lowes, to quickly purchase a replacement, I saw that the identical products, though stamped "honeywell" had all been open and taped shut, and back on the shelf. Were these all returns I wondered.... Is this a defective product? Prior to giving up on it and returning we spent a fair amount of time troubleshooting other aspects of the installation. This thermostat was to operate a baseboard heater in a garage and set to 40 degree F, and used only as a precaution when temp will drop below 40 degrees F and to keep an adjacent system from possible mal-function. We returned this product and purchased another type and that does work fine. May 5, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Obsolete technology. I tested this product in my workshop: A simple box equipped with a heater restance in series with this thermostat. "ON" and "OFF" cycle was monitored with an indicator lamp. Temperature in the box was monitored with a thermometer. First defect was the thermostat temp setting knob was way off. I had to pull it off and put it back on at the messured temperature. Secondly, the temperature ON/OFF band (differential) was about 10F. Way too much in my judgement. November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No problems Worked well, just think the plastic finish is chinsey looking. Since the thermostat I was replacing didn't even have temperature numbers on it, this one is more convenient to use. May 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement Part This replaced a unit that no longer functioned. Relatively easily installed, functions adequately, overall the cadet heating system works fine as a modestly priced heating system for a non-ducted space (condominium not capable of being ducted due to construction, etc.). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install with basic wiring knowledge Installed thermostat with a 6' 120 amp baseboard heater from Home Depot in a 4 season room that was previously heated with a free standing oil filled heater. September 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rubbish...... Ordered this to replace a thirty year old thermostat when installing a new heater and it didn't work. Triple checked all my connections and wiring; nothing. Installed the old thermostat (which always worked but had grown inaccurate) and the new heater started pumping out heat. Returned this to my local Home Depot (a nice option) and purchased an industrial thermostat from my local electrical supply house (for nearly $70). Made in Mexico. Looks super cheap. Maybe I just got a dud? Either way quality control is in question if inoperable units are being shipped to customers. Look elsewhere. November 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PURCHASE This thermostat worked perfectly to replace a thermostat that was used for radiant ceiling heat in my mother's home. The size was not the same as the previous thermostat, and we inexpensively used a regular switch plate for a backing. Worked great! Quick shipping! March 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thermostat Relatively Easy This works great and is overall a good buy. The only issue we had was that the directions assumed we already had a thermostat and were replacing one. This was new for us, so we had to go online to figure out how to install it. It was easy to install once we found the directions. April 7, 2015
