Answer:
The T410 thermostat uses a plastic backing plate, so there no ground connection supplied or needed to install.
However, just a reminder that the heater itself should be grounded for safety, (bypassing the thermostat).
We hope that answers your question.

The hole size should be 2 3/4 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches tall for the single gang box. The thermostat will need to be connected to the gang box and all line voltage connections should be made in the gang box per electrical code.

I followed the Cadet Support User post and blew a breaker because it was incorrect advice. Really??? How frustrating. The instructions could be made so simple by stating which sets of wires are to the panel, and which wires are to the heater. Instead you get L1, L2, T1, T2, etc. just say Power1 (120), Power2 (240), Heater1 (120), Heater2 (240). Ughhh

This depends on the voltage of the supply line. If you are running 240 volts (4 wires), the 2 red thermostat wires will connect to the "hot" supply wires and the 2 black thermostat wires will connect to the heater. If you are running 120 volts (2 wires) the 1 red thermostat wire will connect to one "hot" supply wire and 1 black thermostat wires will connect to the heater. Please see the installation Read More

Answer:
The location of your thermo stat is very important, so it is hard to be precise. You already know 10 degrees difference,so it much easier to adjust your temp. This is the main reason that many thermo stat don't come with a temp. degree, but rather a min to max dial.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Thermostat The instruction was easy to follow. I purchased 3 wall unit and they are all working great. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to use electric heater. September 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by thermostat Easy to install and operate very little time needed April 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by spotty performance Bought 2. One was accurate. The other was at least 5 degrees off. April 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Thermostat for heater The product itself is fine, though I had to hire someone to install it. Why the store sells the heater off the shelf, but not the thermostat that necessarily goes WITH the heater, I don't know. You have to order the thermostat separately, online or special order. Which means you have to wait, and cannot install your heater until it arrives. Staff inside the store were also not very helpful or knowledgeable about what thermostat was needed, or which version of it, or even where the heaters were located. Waaay too difficult to just get the heating solution I needed. January 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Just Plain Doesn't Work! Bought new heater and thermostat. Heater works great with old thermostat- but doesn't work at all with new thermostat. Did a circuit test on the thermostat itself- nothing! Save yourself the time and frustration- try a different brand! February 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install with basic wiring knowledge Installed thermostat with a 6' 120 amp baseboard heater from Home Depot in a 4 season room that was previously heated with a free standing oil filled heater. September 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thermostat The thermostat was easy to install and works very well. January 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It won't save the world but it will make my bathroom more comfortable. It allows me to turn on the heater without crawling around on my hands and knees. I'll probably get another one for my other bathroom. Too bad it does not play early Rolling Stones tunes, then it would be absolutely perfect. January 5, 2016
