Great question.
A double pole thermostat has two wires, and will break both sides of the power supply line, providing a true ""OFF" setting. The control knob on the BTF double pole thermostat has an OFF position, as well as a temperature range of 40 - 85 degrees.
With a single pole thermostat, the control knob will have the same temperature range, but only has a LOW termperature setting and no OFF Read More

With a single pole thermostat, the control knob will have the same temperature range, but only has a LOW termperature setting and no OFF position. In other words, on a single pole thermostat, if the temperature drops below 40 degrees, the heater will turn back on unless your power is shut off at your breaker.
Installing two Cadet heaters in the same room with double pole thermostats with OFF positions may provide more flexibility and control for your large room. Read Less

Hi Jr,
Thanks for asking! Sorry Cadet doesn't have a baseboard mount thermostat that is rated for 30 amps, but we do have one that is rated for 25 amps. The Cadet baseboard thermostat model BTF2A is a double pole, mechanical switch that is rated for 25 amps maximum at 240 volts. You can see the thermostat below as a related product to your question.
